Prime Rosendale location! Charming 2-bedroom/1 bath apartment in the center of lovely Rosendale! Rosendale, a one time cement-manufacturing town, is now home to a thriving community of artists and entrepreneurs. Your apartment is located right on Main Street, directly across from the Rosendale Theater, minutes from delightful vegetarian cafés, artists’ studios, a bookshop, a bakery, kitschy vintage shops and the not-to-miss Cheese and Coffee Shop (“The Big Cheese”). The Rosendale Trestle, a 940-foot continuous former railroad bridge, offers breathtaking views of the village and is the centerpiece of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail -- itself a critical link in the just-completed 750 mile Empire State Trail, offering a bicycle link from New York City to Niagara Falls. Your apartment offers brand new renovations and appliances, a fully equipped kitchen, free wifi, a private back yard and off-street parking: all you need for a quiet and tranquil stay. The space: Located right on vibrant Main Street, Rosendale, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, hiking trails and more. Ten minute walk or 4 minutes car ride to the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail for bike rides and easy hiking for the entire family. Half a mile from Trailways bus station – one and ½ hours from Manhattan’s Port Authority Bus Terminal; 20 minutes drive from NYS thruway exit 18; 15 minutes from uber-hip Kingston and New Paltz; 25 minutes to Minnewaska state park and the Mohonk Preserve, home to world class hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and rock climbing. Off street parking in driveway for guests. Outside porch for guests to use, along with a small back yard. Everything inside the apartment is for your use. I do not live on the property but I am right down the road. I am available 24/7 for questions or concerns. If there is anything that you need, please do not hesitate to ask me. I am always available to make your stay more comfortable. I will be contacting guests via Airbnb the day before arrival with check-in information. My contact information will be in the house book for you to reach me during your stay via text/call/email. Rosendale is a small, historical, quiet and strong community. There are often community events, farmers markets, and things to do close to town. There are many walking, biking trails, places to explore, trails leading to overlooks, and places by the Rondout Creek to just relax or take a swim. One of the main trails is the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail ( 4 minute drive from the apartment, parking on Binnewater Rd). The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail extends more than 20 miles between Kingston and Gardiner. It is 7 miles from Rosendale to New Paltz and 12 miles from Rosendale to midtown Kingston. There are many family owned businesses: restaurants, a bakery, a coffee shop, a bookshop, a tattoo shop and even a movie theatre which is all within walking distance of the apartment. The Rosendale Library is for public use, less than a mile from the property where you can use a computer for free if needed. There is also a park, playground, youth center and public outdoor pool (available during summer). Rosendale is 8 miles from New Paltz, and 8 miles to Kingston which both have an ample amount of food choices and activities/shops. The apartment is 6 miles to Mohonk Mountain Preserve (Spring Farm) and 13 miles to Minnewaska State Park. There are car rentals in Kingston (8miles from Rosendale) with off street parking available for guests at the apartment. There are many biking trails and routes around the area. Taxi services are available, along with UCAT, and Trailways busses both having stops right in Rosendale within walking distance of the apartment. Uber and Lyft are available in the area, too. We have a UCAT bus pass in the rental for guest use, if you need anything else for help with transportation let me know and I'll be glad to help :) The driveway is to the left of the house; between the house and the dark blue house next door. Parking spaces for guests are directly behind the house on the right hand side where there is a sign that says tenants parking only. Feel free to use the grill in the back yard, to the right of the porch stairs (utensils are in the kitchen drawer to the left of fridge). There is a Dollar General store a mile away; for any extra grilling supplies. There is a grocery store in the same plaza. You can use the yard and porch area as well. the yard has a privacy fence some gardens and a table seating four. No smoking in the house. If smoking outside please dispose your butts properly in the ashtray. *If your coming for a special occasion, feel free to mention it to your host. we're happy to help set something up for your arrival. we love to make sure guests have the best experience possible *
