Houses, view & sunset in Aegean Sea

Welcome to our “jewel” in the small village of Ano Vathy. Two houses, a garden and three stone paved terraces with a spectacular view over the village and the sunset in the Aegean Sea. Please note that both houses are included in the stated price! During the last 7 years we have carefully refurbished the houses and the terraces and made sure to renew and improve without losing the original charm. The property consists of two houses, one smaller (the Guest house) and one slightly larger (the Main house). There is a beautiful garden with olive and lemon trees and three stone paved terraces with a magnificent view over the village and, to the northwest, the Aegean Sea. In the Main house, on the lower floor facing the terrace, is the kitchen. Here’s is also a dinner table for up to 8 persons. In the back a staircase leads to the back room with a bunk bed and the bathroom facing the alley between the houses. On the upper floor is the master bedroom. In the Main house you will find a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and AC. The Guest house faces its own terrace with a large orange tree that offers comforting shade from the blistering sun. Inside the house are two beds and a minibar for cold drinks. The bathroom is accessed from the outside and offers a shower with an optional village view. The whole property is situated on a terrace, some 3 meters above a small and very quiet street without traffic. Kitchen and washing: 2-hot plates stovetop, microwave with grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine Outside: Terrace, garden, barbecue We live in Stockholm, Sweden and will not interact with our guests. Languages spoken: English, Swedish Situated in the old picturesque village, high above the more lively Samos town. There are many beaches on the island of Samos. Our favourite beaches are: - the very child friendly sandy beach of Psili Ammos (20 min by car) - the "no-sand-between-your-toes", flat cobble beach of Mykali (15 min by car) - the pebble beach of Kerveli (25 min by car) Samos is a very safe island with very low crime rate. Rental car is recommended. There is a car parking 2 min walk from the house by the Ai Giannaki theater. From here you can have a nice stroll through the village along the main road leading down to the village square and the local restaurants and "cafenions". A 15 min walk will take you to the center of Samos town, with its shopping streets, main square, museum, town garden and bus station. How to get to Samos. Easiest and quickest (approx. 45 min) is a domestic flight from Athens. Olympic Air fly regularly. Nearest major airport: Eleftherios venizelos intl (Athens), 404 km / 251 mile, Samos International Airport, 25 min by car From May until October direct flights to Samos is available from several European airports.
