Nestled on the side of Crook Peak in the Mendip Hills, Grove Lodge is a Somerset holiday destination that is full of character, inside and out. A contemporary design and build with modern amenities, stylish interiors and finished in a log cabin style on the outside. Here you can enjoy comfortable luxury accommodation, stunning double aspect views across the Somerset countryside whilst being in the perfect location to explore the Mendip Hills area of outstanding natural beauty and beyond. Inside Grove Lodge you will find modern open-plan cabin living at its best. The living room, kitchen and dining area flow together seamlessly and outside is a terrace and a veranda that extends the length of the house. Large dual aspect windows and glass doors frame stunning far reaching views across the countryside. Warm and cosy in colder months and cool and airy when it's summer, it offers a perfect location to explore the Mendip Hills and surrounding countryside whatever the season. The house is laid out all on one floor, (with easy access for wheelchairs) with three spacious bedrooms that comfortably sleep six guests. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed as well as an en-suite with both a separate bath and shower. In the two further bedrooms, there are double beds as well as some storage for clothes. There is an additional family bathroom, which again has both a shower and a bath. In the living area there are 3 sofas, a large TV, games console and board games for any kind of cosy night in. The spacious kitchen has everything you could need to cook up hearty feasts: find an electric range cooker, a double door fridge with water dispenser, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and more. The dining area centers around a large, extendable table that can seat upto 8 people. Nothing beats eating your morning breakfast, relaxing at sunset with the panoramic views around you, or watching the stars twinkle at night through the skylight above. Grove Lodge's gorgeous surroundings, unrivalled views and stylish, comfortable interiors and amenities makes this the perfect spot for a memorable weekend away in the Mendips! If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch! Grove Lodge is found in the village of Webbington, which is part of the Mendips Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s 20 miles from Bristol and 7 miles from Weston-super-Mare, making it a great location for a West Country short break. The Mendips is home to a number of beautiful walks, all of which are within a short distance from the property. Next to the gates of the lodge is path that takes you up to the top of Crook Peak. At the top you can experience one of the best views in Somerset with a 360 degree panorama of the surrounding countryside! Kings Wood is just a nine minute drive away, and is ideal if you're after endless views and an array of lovely wildlife! The famous Cheddar Gorge is 15 minutes - known for being Britain's biggest gorge, visit for breathtaking views, to see the local goats or to enjoy lunch and coffee in some of the local establishments. Further afield, Stockhill Wood offers more great walking opportunities as does Blagdon Lake and Chew Valley Lake! Somerset is becoming ever more known as a foodie destination, so you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. The Crown Inn in Churchill is a traditional pub serving excellent food, there is also The Swan Inn and The Railway Inn all within 15 minutes. In under 30 minutes you will reach The Litton, an award-winning gastro pub which is great for both summer and winter! For lunch options, Strawberry Line Tea Rooms is just 10 minutes away and serves traditional cream tea and sandwiches. Please note: The white noise hum of traffic on the M5 can be heard in the distance if outside or on the balcony. Due to the remote nature of the property, a car is highly recommended for your stay. There is plenty of parking available, with space for up to 6 vehicles. A taxi from Weston-super-Mare Station to Grove Lodge is also an option which costs between £15 and £20. Guests should be aware that due to the proximity to the M5 there is potential for white noise/traffic hum when outside, however inside the property you cannot hear anything. The property is double glazed and well insulated.
