The Treehouse Backpacker Hotel may not be your home just yet, but we’re sure you’ll consider it one, by the end of your stay. We are a family-run, independent hostel/B&B, off the beaten track and away from the big noisy cities. Our business is family-run and you are sure to feel at home with us. In Grünau you will find beautiful countryside, crystal clear lakes surrounded by majestic mountains, perfect for hiking or skiing and an atmosphere that is sure to make Grünau one of your most memorable destinations. Grünau is a town that can be enjoyed anytime of year. Non-smoking environment. We have free Wi-Fi. Clean and cozy rooms. All rooms en-suite. Home cooked meals. Breakfast included. Free transfer to/from the train station. 5 minute walk to our ski area, the Kasberg. Plenty of free parking. Friendly English speaking staff. Bike rental. Horse riding. Downstairs bar with pool table, darts and music. Tennis and basketball. We live in the house. We cook for you and pour your drinks. We treat our guests as one of us which is how we believe you should be treated. We bought our house in Grünau because we feel if you want to see the "real" Austria you must get out of the big cities! We want our guest to experience the countryside, enjoy the beautiful lakes and rivers and hike (or ski) on our mountains. There is a train station in Grünau and buses as well. We offer free transfers to the train station. We rent bikes and hiking / walking is a great way to see the countryside. If you have any special dietary requirements, (vegetarian, gluten-free...) please let us know. We cook for you. By law, guests are not allowed to cook in are kitchen.
