Island life

Welcome to our island home. We have build this beautiful home away from home to escape reality and enjoy the simple things in life, family and relaxation. We have designed the home to comfortably sleep 8 people. For those who haven't visited the island before, you will be amazed and I'm sure like us you will want to make it your new holiday destination. You travel by car barge or ferry to the island. Once you arrive you will be greated by wildlife and a calm peaceful, friendly community. Our island home has been designed for the whole family and whether you are a big family or a couple looking for a romantic getaway, our design features and decor will not dissapoint. Please note to gain access to the island you must book a barge if travelling by car. This is booked through Stradbroke ferries - Southern Morton Bay Island, Macleay Island. Or ferries run as per public transport time tables. We are only 3-4min walk to the end of our street, which at high tide is picturesque, so hoike up those pant legs and get your toes wet, at low tide it becomes a playground to explore the mud flats. The designated swimming area is approx 4 mins drive, this area is equipped with BBQ facilities and a great playground area for the kids. We have two small supermarkets located on the island. One located on top of the hill when you first arrive, the second only minutes away from the house. We have kept our cleaning fee at a low so that all budgets can enjoy time away, please clean up after yourself in a respectful way. PLEASE NOTE - we are on enviro eco friendly septic and under no circumstances are sanitary products to be desposed of down the toilet. Available by phone for any concern or needs The island includes the local pub, the golf club and bowls club. All have curtousy buses free of charge. Be sure to book a table as these places are extremely popular and the food is great. Getting around is easy with the little yellow bus which runs approx every 30mins for a small charge. The island also has a local taxi service and for those wishing to bring their own vehicle we have designated parking areas at the home. You can even bring the boat 😁 A cleaning fee will be charged
