The Blue Room at the Norton Hill BnB

Norton Hill BnB is a traditional BnB with a host on site in the heart of scenic Ashfield; a destination of outdoor enthusiasts, writers, theater goers, and seekers of locally crafted epicurean delights! Guests may reserve an individual room with a private bath for their use. Common areas include the dining room, a sitting area, and a porch that overlooks the yard. A continental breakfast is included. The house was built in 1795 and retains much of its original character including hand planed doors, handcrafted hardware, and 6 fireplaces. The Blue Room is on the second floor. It has a queen and a single bed, a desk, a fireplace(not in use) and a private bath with a shower. If you are interested to rent more than one room for friends or family members, you can additionally reserve the Yellow Room (with a queen and a single bed) and unlock the Blue room bath’s door to the hallway to share the bath, or the Red room that has its own private bath. Ashfield is a walkable town. There is room to park a few vehicles in our driveway, and there is parking available on the road next to the BnB. We have our own quarters at the house. We keep a low profile, giving guests as much privacy as possible. We are accessible by phone or texting. Ashfield is a quintessential New England town with these essential amenities: A police station, a fire department, two churches, a post office, Country Pie-an awesome pizza shop, The Lake House (a pub with pub food!) on the edge of Ashfield Lake, Elmer's Market for breakfasts (right across the street from us) and a convenience store with locally grown produce and gas pumps. The famous Double Edge Theater is down the street. There are numerous fairs and festivals in the area throughout the summer and fall. There are two golf courses in Ashfield and a disk golf course in nearby Conway. The nearby village of Shelburne Falls has several fine restaurants, crafts galleries and interesting sites like the Potholes and the Bridge of Flowers. Northampton, a western Massachusetts hot spot ( 17 miles away), has music venues, crafts galleries, and lots of fine dining establishments. Ashfield is a walkable town with most amenities within a half a mile. You’ll need a vehicle or be an avid cyclist to get to Ashfield, and home again:) We are doing enhanced cleaning protocols in conjunction with Massachusetts guidelines relative to the Covid pandemic. Dog guests must be approved in advance of a reservation. The home is not child proof.
