JARU - 'A dog friendly cosy coastal retreat'
'A cosy coastal retreat overlooking the beautiful Whitsand bay with beach access via the cliff footpath' JARU is situated in a stunning location on the idyllic Cornish coastline that is known as Freathy and offers breathtaking sea views with Rame Head to the East and Looe to the West. Dogs are welcome at the chalet for a small charge and the beaches are dog friendly all year round. Bed linen and towels are also provided. Parking permit provided for Field 3 Freathy. JARU is small but perfectly formed! This place really does offer a tranquil retreat away from the hustle bustle and mod cons of everyday life, a romantic getaway (there have been two proposals at JARU this last year), or somewhere for families to make treasured lifetime memories. One double bedroom and one bunk room comfortably sleeps 4, a hot shower washes the beach away whilst the sea facing decked area provides the perfect al fresco dining area. We now has WIFI at the property and parking is also available with the permit in Field 3 Freathy. Guests will have full private use of the chalet and decking area/garden. JARU has a parking permit for Field 3 Freathy which is a 2 minute stroll away so you can rest assured you will always have somewhere to park if roadside parking is unavailable. There is a self check in at JARU via a lockbox at the property, i do live locally however so am available if needed and am happy to help with any special requests with prior notice. There is a football pitch and' play area for the children situated near Field 3 Freathy. Further along the coastal road you will find a lovely cafe serving food all day - limited parking space available on the cliff road. There is also a fantastic restaurant 'The View' which serves the most amazing food, especially worth a visit for a special occasion! JARU provides the perfect base for beach days, cycling and exploring the coast with some excellent walking routes. There is a bus stop conveniently on the road above JARU which is perfect if you would like to travel/ get around without having to drive. You can also take the foot ferry from Cremyll/Mt Edgcumbe to get to Plymouth and also Royal William Yard - renowned for lots of great places to eat! During the Summer months the Cawsand Ferry departs from Cawsand Beach and will take you to the Barbican. Please note that access to the chalet is a short walk down the cliff footpath so not ideally suited to those who are unsteady on their feet. Up to a maximum of 2 dogs welcome charged at £30 per dog PLEASE NOTE LOST OR UNRETURNED PARKING PERMITS WILL INCUR A £20 ADMINISTRATION FEE.
