This grand and spacious first-floor executive apartment maintains original details including woodwork, stone and marble mantles, ornate mirrors, and incredibly tall windows. With a modern bathroom and kitchen including dishwasher, walk-in closet, king bed, and fluffy towels, you’ll be super comfortable. Laundry is just outside the apartment in the hall. #enjoyTroy Business and education travelers welcome, desk and office chair. Kitchen supplies allow for cooking real food, and our proximity to restaurants make for many delicious alternatives! Yes, we include a wine opener, can opener, sharp knives (with a sharpener and honing steel!), and a crockpot! There's also an immersion blender, baking dishes, meat thermometer, and cooling rack. This unit even has a dishwasher! Under-cabinet lighting, broiling oven, gas stove, and wine glasses round out this awesome kitchen. This is a spacious private first-floor apartment in a three-story brownstone on a quiet block. The free laundry is in the hall. Free parking is plentiful and usually found right out in front of the building (unusual for Troy!). We live next door and are also working in the building, so you'll certainly see us around. We are available for any questions and suggestions, and are happy to direct you to great places around the neighborhood, city, and greater Capital District. We can be found playing ukulele on our stoop, and our small dog, Sammy, may politely say hello. We're happy to give you plenty of space, or offer you options for dinner and entertainment should you inquire. Since many of our guests stay for extended periods, we welcome you to your home away from home. We're in a quiet urban neighborhood in easy walking to much of Troy's dining and entertainment with the owners available next door, a secure entrance, and laundry on the first floor. Walking distance: Year-Round Farmer's Market every Saturday 9-2, a multitude of restaurants (how do you choose?!), bars, ice cream, entertainment, library, parks, and more. Parking on our block is easier than most places in Troy, and we're only a few minutes to Route 7 or 787, so you can get to all areas of the Capital District quickly. Access to public transport options include Lyft, Uber, CDTA (public bus and seasonal bike rentals both one block away), and RPI shuttle. We are 15 minutes from Amtrak (Albany-Rensselaer) and Albany International Airport (ALB). Only 10-15 minutes to Albany, 30 minutes to Schenectady, and 35 minutes to Saratoga Springs and the track. Day trips to NYC and Boston. We will help remind you to move your car on street-cleaning day, Mondays! Otherwise your car gets to stay put! A pack-n-play, high chair, baby bath, stroller, and toys may be available upon request. Cleaning supplies like a vacuum live in the hallway and are available for your use.
