Sharkies beach house - Beach and escarpment views.
This space has a bedroom with queen size bed, bathroom, and an adjoining kitchenette (accessed by a separate outside door)which has a microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle but no stovetop or proper cooking facilities. There is a back deck with ocean glimpses/escarpment views and property is 20 minutes north of Wollongong. We have a dog, Billie Jean, featured in photo 3. While the space is self-contained, it adjoins the main house, so there may be some noise, which I try to keep to a minimum. There is a short cut to beach (4 min) - go to end of cul-de-sac and through grassy verge to Sharkies - Coledale's popular surfing beach. The train line is across the road so there is some train noise at night. Quiet space/neighbourhood otherwise. Not suitable for parties or late night music. Generally cool and breezy. Guests have their own back deck which opens onto leafy back yard. The kitchenette is equipped with toaster, microwave, kettle, sink, utensils but not suitable for cooking. There is a large fridge and you can use the washing machine if required. If they require help, advice or tips on local attractions happy to interact. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, beaches and markets within a short distance, as well as a range of supermarkets. Wollongong is a twenty minute drive away and has an ever increasingly vibrant night life. The Sea Cliff Bridge and Royal National Park are a twenty minute drive north. Bus and train are a 5 and 10 min walk away and there is a cycle path from nearby Thirroul all the way to Wolllongong. On Parking in driveway: If you do park in driveway, apparently, as per my last guest's experience, if you have a sports car, or a car that is low to the ground the driveway will scrape bottom of car. A friendly warning to sports car or low-to-ground car owning guests!
