We purchased the house containing this apartment in 2017, and have been steadily updating and modernizing the space. Beautiful, just renovated apartment in a pre-1900 Victorian home. Hardwood floors throughout, and newly redone kitchen and bathroom. Ideally located in a historic neighborhood, with easy access to Yale University and athletic fields, Hopkins school, and Downtown New Haven. This apartment in a 19th century Victorian house was just remodeled with modern amenities while still retaining classic features such as original (but refinished) hardwood floors. The sleeping accommodations consist of 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a large rollout couch that sleeps 2 comfortably. We are really into cooking, so our kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need should you decide to prepare your own meals. There is a grill on the deck out back for barbecues. We are a short walk to the Yale Athletic fields, and very close to downtown and the Yale Campus. In addition to the apartment, you will also have access to our backyard, which includes a gas grill, deck, and patio set. The apartment has a digital keypad, so that means no keys to carry, and allows for a flexible check-in We will not be in the apartment, but will be available should the need arise. Westville is a beautiful tree lined neighborhood full of historic homes and well-manicured lawns. Within a 3 block radius, you can find the best brunch in the city, various coffee shops and markets, a farmers market, bike trails, and hiking. The Yale athletic facilities (Yale Bowl, etc) and Westville Music Bowl are a 5 minute walk away. The rest of the Yale campus and Downtown New Haven are 10 minutes and a $7-8 Uber ride away. For nights in, or entertaining, you will have access to our home theater setup, which includes cable tv, Netflix, HBO, and Amazon prime video, as well as a high end surround sound system.
