Enjoy views of the Shropshire countryside from this gorgeous renovated cottage once occupied by the coachman of stately home Davenport House. A unique stay, it has a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area with original stable stall and high vaulted ceilings, and a large and beautifully appointed bedroom with matching ensuite. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and there is peaceful courtyard garden with a L-shape rattan sofa, garden table and chairs, BBQ and fire pit. The bedroom has a super king size bed and there is a double daybed in the room which can be made up as 2 singles or a double, or just be used as a sofa. This is a fantastic opportunity to stay in the grounds of stunning Davenport House. Set amid picturesque countryside, this is a breathtaking Grade I listed Georgian house. Combining original features and chic interior design, alongside the warmth of a family residence, Davenport House is an enchanting setting which you get to enjoy from your very own spot in a historic mansion. A travel cot is available and there is TV and free WIFI. Beyond your cottage you can have full access to the gardens and grounds of the house and we can arrange a viewing of the house itself if that's of interest. Need more space? There are beautiful walks throughout the grounds and beyond, you can walk to the local pub or venture a little further into Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge or Shrewsbury, where you'll find culture and more history, great places to eat and all kinds of entertainment. There are easy transport links from Wolverhampton, Telford and Birmingham. The best way to get around is by car, but a taxi to local towns or train stations can be arranged. Birmingham airport is 45 miles away. You'll find Heaven toiletries and a hair dryer in the cottage.
