Flooded with natural light this spacious practical family home by the sea is a great base to explore the magnificent Jurassic coast. A few minutes walk from the property leads you to the Rodwell trail- once a railway line that has been converted into a walkway/cycle path. The trail is child friendly & perfect for a bike ride or dog walk. An easy 5 minute walk away is the beautiful picturesque Sandsfoot castle ruins & gardens which have beautiful views of The Isle of Portland & the harbour. The property has 4 large double bedrooms with an extra mezzanine room (ideal for the kids to play in) we have a cot and a travel cot for guests to use and also downstairs an abundance of kids toys & games. Downstairs the property has tiled or wooden flooring making it pet friendly and very practical for families with little ones. We have 2 high chairs, to add to the large dinning table complete with 8 dining chairs. The property has 2 sets of patio doors leading out onto a nicely kept, secluded back garden so you can make the most of the fresh sea air. The kitchen is well stocked and ideal for larger groups (large American style fridge/freezer) & 2 ovens. The utilities area has a washing machine & tumble dryer for all those Sandy beach towels. Car parking for 3 cars on the property. Beaches are in walking distance. Weymouth Harbour is a buzzing centre for food and drinks, where you can enjoy a spot of crabbing or sit with some ice cream and watch the Weymouth town bridge lift every couple of hours to let the larger boats enter or exit. A 25 min walk will get you to the impressive 19th century Victorian Nothe Fort which includes a museum highlighting coastal defence. A must see for anyone interested in Weymouth’s history. A 15 minute drive away is the fantastic SEA LIFE adventure park. Explore both above and below the ocean at this must see attraction for all the family. A 30 minute drive east will get you to the amazing natural beauty of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove which we highly recommend on a clear day.
