150 years old, Honeysuckle Cottage lies in the tranquil and charming hamlet of Moorsholm. A deliciously cosy stonebuilt cottage, awarded with a Certificate of Excellence provides a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy the fascinating North York Moors and coastal area from your doorstep - tread the tiny cobbled streets where smugglers once roamed in the quirky villages clinging to coastal cliffs, or spend the day on the Moors gazing for miles across beautiful, captivating landscape. The ground floor comprises a living room, with a huge stone built fireplace found during renovation with log burner creating a really cosy space next to the dining kitchen with all modern amenities (including dishwasher) for guest comfort. Upstairs there is a king size, and twin bedroom, with bathroom having over bath shower. To the front of the property is a patio area which catches the sun for your morning coffee, whilst to the rear there is a raised decking area which is a really sunny spot from lunchtime through evening for that well deserved glass of wine. Please note there is a minimum stay of 3 nights. Maximum number of people is 4 (+travel cot if required). Number staying to be stated on booking, any changes to be notified immediately. The cottage provides a wealth of information about the area, maps, guidebooks, walking routes, leaflets of local interest, inn/restaurant recommendations, places of interest recommendations for short stays. Moorsholm is a unique community where even strangers are welcomed with a smile. The hardworking team in the village have achieved gold medals over many years for the Best Small Village in the Britain in Bloom annual competition - Moorsholm and all its gardens and ginnels at its best for this occasion. It is best to have access by car to this huge area of moorland and coast, if only just to make sure to see as much as possible of the huge variety of interests in the area - Everything from dark sky festivals to bronze age forts, castles, Stately Homes, Heartbeat's 'Aidensfield' (Goathland) the list is endless. There is a wonderful and world reknowned Steam Train railway line which enables the experience of travelling through the beautiful Rye Valley and perhaps you will find the railway station used as Hogwartz Station in Harry Potter?
