Introducing BATHERS Beach House ……. nestled opposite the fragrant Frangipani trees and the untouched coastline of Newell Beach Far North Queensland AUSTRALIA BATHERS BEACH HOUSE was once the quaint beachside cottage that was known as the French named BELLE RIVE meaning ‘beautiful shore’. Transformed by an extensive renovation and new construction of a separate pavilion in 2016, Bathers Beach House is the perfect holiday home. The open plan design captures sensational sunrises over the water from the East with the open plan design embracing a picture perfect backdrop to the West encasing magnificent sunsets that fall behind the sugarcane fields and the majestic mountains of the Great Dividing Range. White washed floors throughout blend with a connecting deck to the poolside and out to the inviting pavilion style extension. With cool natural tiles chosen for this space you enter into a separate living area from the main house, through to the bathroom and out to a 3rd very generous bedroom, from here there's a private sundeck overlooking a manicured tropical garden and the lush signature sugarcane fields that depicts this beautiful region of Far North Queensland. The inviting 15 x 4 metre wet-edge fully tiled swimming pool was designed to compliment the expensive timber deck ……….. in colour hues of ‘Lime Punch’ this is an picture postcard pool that captures the warm tropical sun all day long and protected at the shallow end by a shade sail. All in all ……… BATHERS is the quintessential beach house. Be bathed ……. be beached ……. and be prepared to walk into surroundings that just make you feel you're immediately on vacation. Please NOTE: The advertised nightly rate is for the entire property 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Should the Pavilion not be required for your stay we offer a reduced rate for the main house only - comprising of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you don't require the Pavilion with the additional lounge room/bathroom and bedroom, please let us know before you make your reservation and we can change the rate for your preferred dates to the main house only. Either way you won't have other guests staying on the property. I'm very happy to accompany guests on day tours if they wish and share my local knowledge. The quiet 'best kept secret' of Newell is a local beachside community with secluded holiday houses tucked in between the beach lovers residences with many drawn here to live near, or on the beautiful and expansive 2.5 kilometres of Newell Beach. We have a local store with the friendly Owners Lisa (Deputy Mayor of the Douglas Shire) and her husband Peter who provide great takeaway and incidental grocery items. This slice of paradise has always been considered the Jewel of Newell and the location of Bathers Beach House is the perfect getaway, being so close to Port Douglas, but away from the maddening crowd! Most guests hire a car from the Cairns International Airport and take the scenic coastal drive North to Newell that can be comfortably achieved in just over one hour ...... the view is spectacular! After 45 minutes along the magnificent Captain Cook Highway you will go through the roundabout passing the Port Douglas turn off, continuing on past the sugarcane fields through to the township of Mossman. Bathers Beach House is just a further 5 minute drive North. To go back into the township of Mossman from Bathers Beach House it's just 5kms where you will find all amenities, including Woolworths, two medical Centres, a Dentist and the beautiful heritage listed Mossman Hospital Circa 1930 with amazing staff. The bustle of Port Douglas is just a 20 minute drive South where you'll find boutique shops and a myriad of restaurants to choose from, along with the Crystalbrook Marina, shops and restaurants. Every Saturday there's the local Mossman Market, followed by the Port Douglas Market every Sunday, both are a must see.
