Carriage Cottage is an original coach house converted into a lovely country escape set in the beautiful grounds of stately home Davenport House. There is a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area divided by the old stable stall, and high ceilings which make it feel light and expansive. Very comfortably furnished it has two large beautifully appointed bedrooms with king size beds and day beds, sleeping 6. A charming garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue are at your disposal. This is a fantastic opportunity to stay on the Davenport House estate. Set amid picturesque countryside, this is a breathtaking Grade I listed Georgian house. Combining original features and chic interior design, alongside the warmth of a family residence, Davenport House is an enchanting setting which you get to enjoy from your very own spot in a historic mansion. Beyond your cottage you can have full access to the gardens and grounds of the house and we can arrange a viewing of the house itself if that's of interest. We are on hand if you need anything at all. We want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience of staying around a very grand 'home from home'. We're located near to the lovely village of Worfield which has a noteworthy historic church. There are beautiful walks throughout the grounds and beyond, you can walk to the local pub or venture a little further into Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge or Shrewsbury, where you'll find culture and more history, great places to eat and all kinds of entertainment. There are easy transport links from Wolverhampton, Telford and Birmingham. The best way to get around is by car, but a taxi to local towns or train stations can be arranged. Birmingham airport is 45 miles away. You'll find Heaven toiletries and a hair dryer in the cottage.
