Wee Home @ The Green Holiday Cottages

The Green Holiday Cottages are NITB 4 star self catering rentals in the Mourne Mountains close to the fishing village of KIlkeel. Wee Home was the first of our self catering rentals to be be completed on the site of an 18th Century corn and flax mill. The Cottages are situated in Mourne (AONB) with lots of walking, cycling trails and paths to explore in the surrounding area. Located 2 hours from Dublin and 90 minutes from Belfast, a perfect place to explore Ireland's Ancient East. From Wee Home you have the chance to explore the land that inspired the Narnia Chronicles, Percy French, and more recently has enjoyed being the landscape in major film productions namely Philomena and Game of Thrones. Kilbroney Forest Park, The Silent Valley, Tollymore Forest Park and Castlewellan which is host to one of the world's largest hedge mazes are all within a short drive. Both have access for walkers and cyclists. Wee Home has its own outdoor BBQ and Pizza oven. A perfect way to spend to spend an evening what ever the weather. Guests have access to the cottage and the surrounding gardens and river area. We will be on hand on arrival to show you round. Very happy to assist with any further information needed throughout your stay. There is plenty of available parking at Wee Home. A car would be advisable for the duration of your stay if you are wanting to explore the area. There are local buses into Kilkeel but Wee Home is not on their route. It is about a 2 mile walk from the town. Local taxi's are available and can be contacted prior to your arrival if required.
