Perfect for friends, families, couples, or even co-workers on a retreat, this waterfront apartment offers jaw-dropping views of Greenwood Lake and all the comforts of home. We just added a dock, so it's an ideal spot for boating! Up to 6 guests can sleep comfortably in the apartment: • Bedroom #1: corner room with a queen-size bed, closet, and ceiling fan • Bedroom #2: corner room with a king-size bed, closet, ceiling fan, and a crib for the youngest travelers • Living room: pull-out sofa bed can accommodate 2 guests Two full bathrooms ensure everybody has plenty of privacy, and both include shower/tub combos, towels, a hair dryer, and basic toiletries. When you’re not slumbering in one of our comfy beds, you’ll love hanging out in the kitchen, living room, or outside on the deck or in the backyard. The living spaces feature brand-new furnishings and lots of natural light. Cook up a storm in the kitchen, which features charming retro appliances and beautiful wood cabinets. We’ve stocked the kitchen with all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you could need, plus essentials like a coffee maker and a toaster. Savor meals in style at the dining table, which has seating for at least 6. Kick back and relax in the living room, where you’ll find a comfortable L-shaped couch, a flat-screen smart TV, and a rustic stone fireplace - for decoration only. There’s a Roku, so you can log in to Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, etc. with your own accounts (just remember to log out when you leave!). Directly off the living room is the expansive deck, which overlooks Greenwood Lake and has a couple of lounge chairs. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy a meal al fresco, watch the sunset with a drink in hand, or stargaze at night. Outdoor fun can also be had in the backyard, which is complete with an outdoor dining table and a sprawling lawn. Let the little ones run free or have a picnic in the grass - the possibilities are endless! There is a fire pit on the grass by the lake for you to enjoy. Free parking is available in the driveway and the front door is opened with 24/7 electronic key access. Need to do some laundry? Feel free to use the washer and dryer. Within minutes by car or bus, you can access all of the highlights of the town of Greenwood Lake and the spectacular parks nearby. We understand that there’s a lot of uncertainty in the world right now. But you can be sure about one thing: your rental will be squeaky clean and totally private. We’re taking the following measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19: ✓ Professional cleaning before your arrival - We follow the CDC’s recommended cleaning procedures and use CDC approved cleaning supplies. ✓ 2x sterilization by thoroughly disinfecting all surfaces manually and then using steam nanotechnology with handheld atomizers ✓ Self-check-in with a code/lockbox/electronic lock. All forms of entry are cleaned after each guest departs ✓ All the in-unit amenities you need so you can social distance in comfort During your stay, you’ll have complete and exclusive access to the suite. The building contains other units, but none of the living spaces are shared. Parking is available in the driveway. Check-in is fully self-service with electronic key access, so there’s no need to worry if your flight is delayed or you arrive later than expected. Embrace the tranquility of lakefront living or head into town for food and shopping. Several nearby parks are also spectacular places to enjoy the outdoors. Greenwood Lake (the town, not the lake) is home to many delicious places to eat. We recommend: • Karen's Cafe - Homestyle breakfast or lunch fare. • Village Buzz Cafe - Friendly breakfast joint known for breakfast burritos. • Jean-Claude's Patisserie - Best bakery in town! Try the quiches and cakes. • MexicanZingo Restaurant - Authentic Mexican cuisine. • The Helm - Welcoming spot with American food, great for families. • 4 Brothers Pizzeria - Sometimes you’re just in the mood for pizza! Nice variety of pastas and salads too. • Irish Whisper Public House - Casual pub with a neighborhood atmosphere. Greenwood Lake also has a CVS, a post office, and a Chase Bank. In nearby Warwick, a slightly bigger town just a 15-minute drive away, you can find all the essentials: • ShopRite of Warwick - supermarket • Pennings Farm Market - daily farmer’s market • Warwick Drive-In Theater - shows first-run movies, cash-only Don’t miss the stunning natural beauty of the wilderness surrounded Greenwood Lake. Some of the best things to do outside are: • Hike in any of the nearby parks: Wawayanda State Park, Abram S. Hewitt State Forest, Fuller Mountain Preserve, or Sterling Forest State Park • Rent a boat from Skip's Dockside Marina • Ski or snowboard at Mount Peter Ski Area • Visit the New York Renaissance Faire (weekends from mid-August to early October) Greenwood Lake straddles the border of New York and New Jersey, and our home is on the New York side. It’s 50 miles (90-minute drive) from New York City, 60 miles (75-minute drive) from Poughkeepsie, and 90 miles (2-hour drive) from Scranton. The drive from any NYC metro airport (JFK, Newark, LaGuardia) takes about 90 minutes. We recommend renting a car at the airport, since driving is the best way to get around our area. Parking is generally free and plentiful wherever you go. Bus service is available from Port Authority Station in NYC. Catch the 196/197 bus line and get off at the Rt-210 at Furnace Trail bus stop.
