Arrive at Passage Hut overlooking the natural peninsulas of Delaware Bay and Pepin Island, where the ebb and flow of the tide is on your doorstep. Stay in the cosy and quirky private hut with these breathtaking views of the ocean, and take a 5min stroll from the hut to find a beach all to yourself. At morning or night, relax in the hot tub with an ocean view or gaze at the stars. Extra services: - Camping options $20 per extra person (must bring own gear) - Self-catered unless food service enquired in advance: - Grocery order: Just send us your detailed list and we will have the groceries up at the hut ready for your arrival $40 + receipt amount. - Cheese assortment platter $60 - Light breakfast, providing muesli, milk, yoghurt and some seasonal fruit $10pp/morning. (cheese platter and breakfast services are on hold for now due to covid regulations) - Hut shop items at the hut: Proper crisps, chia sisters drinks etc. items priced. - NEW: Nelson-made Aroha chocolates, box of 6 mixed truffles or box of 4 hearts all different flavours. Please message in what you would like and we'll make it work for you! We have 3 huts on the Island and they all are very private and in significant distance apart from one another. We ask that you do not explore more of the Island than what is mentioned on the map for the sake of other guests privacy in the other huts. Further explanation will be provided on arrival. Pepin Island is a 30 min drive from Nelson City and Cable Bay beach attaches the Island to the main land. The hut is situated in a very peaceful and private place and is enjoyable for anyone who needs to get computer work done or a romantic getaway. When you get to the entrance of the Island, follow the driveway up, passing over 2 cattle stops and taking the upper road after the second cattle stop. The driveway goes in a loop around our house. From there we will give you directions where to park your car and how to get to the hut. It is a private Island so parking is safe and we make sure no one without authority wanders onto the Island.
