The Old Dairy
Brimscombe Farm is situated close to Minchinhampton Common near Stroud in the Cotswolds and formerly supplied milk and dairy produce to the village. It is now used solely for equestrian activities. The Old Dairy is on the site of the old milking parlour. It has been newly refurbished with a modern open plan dining room, sitting room and kitchen and two bedrooms both with en suite shower rooms. We will do everything possible to ensure that you have a great stay. Accommodation is on one level although there is one step up to the kitchen area. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has two single beds. Both have en suite shower rooms. Fully equipped kitchen includes washing/dryer machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a smart TV with access to Netflix. There is a small private garden with a lawn, patio and outdoor seating. There is private parking for at least two cars. There is always someone at Brimscombe Farm and family members will be all to happy to help with any queries. We will always hope to be here to welcome guests but when this is not possible we have fitted a key safe outside the Old Dairy. The area boasts numerous footpath's and is ideal for walkers with easy access to Minchinhampton Common, the Stroudwater Canal and the Cotswold Way. Stroud is a five minute drive away and is famous for its award winning farmers market every Saturday morning, bohemian atmosphere, independent shops and various arts and music festivals throughout the year. Brimscombe Farm is situated in the Golden Valley which is one of Strouds Five Valleys with the river Frome forming its eastern boundary. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the area. The spa town of Cheltenham, famous for its racecourse, and the historic city of Gloucester are both half an hour by car or a short train journey from Stroud station. Bristol is about a 45 minute drive. We are a fifteen minute drive from junction 13 of the M5 and five minutes from Stroud train station. It is an ideal base for touring the Cotswolds, within easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Burford, Bibury, Nailsworth, Tetbury and the Cotswold Water Park. It is a two or three minute walk to a bus stop, at the bottom of the hill. There is a highchair available on request.
