Thyme Cottage is a romantic little cottage which stands on its own away from the other gites overlooking the garden. Upstairs is a double bed with an ensuite bathroom with a massive bath and overhead shower. Downstairs is a fully fitted kitchen and sitting room. La Marette is set in approximately 2 acres of garden and orchard bordered by fields and woodland. A perfect spot to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Maximum occupancy 2 adults only, no children (not even babies, sorry) Come and enjoy the peace and quiet. La Marette consists of 4 gites on the property. There are 2 acres of garden which is shared with all the cottages, though Thyme stands away from the other gites and overlooks the garden. There is a parking area. Garden and games. I live on site and can provide meals on arrival, plat du jour in high season, gourmet 5 course menus - all available on request and payable locally. NOT AVAILABLE AT PRESENT. The perks of having a trained chef on site! La Marette is perfectly situated to explore Brittany. Beaches are about 40 mins away, and you have lots to choose from. Saint Cast Le Guido has a lovely beach and as you drive around the point the views always takes my breath away as you come round each corner you come to yet another beautiful bay. Dinan is a beautiful town and very quirky with its cobbled streets and wonky buildings – Thursday morning is market day in Dinan and well worth the visit. If you are a cyclist or enjoy a good walk there are many cycle routes in the area and up at Jugon les Lacs plenty of walks around the lake as well as various other activities. From Mont St Michel to the Granite Coast there is plenty to explore. Situated close enough to the N12 to be a great advantage to reach airports, ports and cities such as Rennes, but not so close as to be a nuisance. St Malo port 50 minutes, Dinard airport 30 minutes and Rennes airport 40 minutes away. There a 3 other gites on the property. Thyme Cottage can only sleep 2 people (adults only) Please note (due to CV-19): - minimum stay 21 nights - price quoted is per gite, not per person. - Linen and Towels are not included. - The gite must be left in clean and tidy - the cleaning charge is for a deep clean after your stay. Taxe de sejour: €1.00 per person per night (over 18) paid locally in cash on arrival. Electricity cost - the cottage has an electric meter counter. A reading will be taken on arrival and on departure - you will find that the standard daily allowance of 10kw should be more than enough during the summer months, however should you exceed this (for heating for example), an additional charge of 0.20c per unit will be incurred and needs to be paid in cash prior to departure.
