Crown Cottage - sleeps 6

Our wheelchair friendly cottages provide excellent holiday accommodation for people of all ages and abilities. That’s why so many people choose to stay with us and come back year after year. Situated just off the A19 between York and Selby, Strawberry Fields Cottages at South Newlands Farm are an ideal base if you want to visit the Yorkshire Dales, Moors, Wolds or Coast. Crown Cottage. The cottage is all on one floor and has a spacious open-plan layout to allow for free movement in a wheelchair. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite wetroom with roll-in shower and freestanding shower chair. The second bedroom also has plenty of space for wheelchair manoeuvre, and the third bedroom would allow access for a single bed and one wheelchair, but is normally set up as a twin bedroom which doesn't allow for wheelchair access. Crown Cottage has a ceiling hoist in the bedroom with ensuite wetroom. This doesn't track through to the wetroom but enables someone to be lifted from the bed to a wheelchair or shower chair. Towns and Cities Famed for its heritage, York is only 15 minutes drive away and there’s a regular bus service from the village. The stunning Abbey in the local town of Selby is even closer and from here there is a regular train service to Leeds. Yorkshire Dales, Moors, Wolds and Coast If you’re keen to explore the outdoors, you’re spoilt for choice. Two National Parks, both within an hour’s drive, abound with outstanding scenery, wildlife and cultural heritage. We are 8 miles from the designer Outlet, Park and Ride to York. Or park in Riccall (one mile away) where a bus runs from between the centre of York and the market town of Selby every 20 mins. Short breaks available - please ask for availability and prices
