Little Forge St Mawgan
Little Forge is a single storey stone barn attached to our home The Forge. It is in a beautiful peaceful rural location. There is a private courtyard garden, ample gated secure parking, king size bed, pure Egyptian cotton bedding, a roll top bath (and shower), and good sized fully equipped kitchen. It’s a 10 min drive to gorgeous Mawgan Porth beach, pub and shops, 15 mins to stunning Watergate Bay and 15 mins to picturesque Padstow. Unfortunately we are unable to accept dogs or children. Little Forge is small but perfectly formed and tastefully decorated with original artwork, unusual mirrors and a bit of a country house feel in the sitting room with a nice comfortable antique leather chair. There is a lovely bathroom with small roll top bath and smart tiled shower, a well fitted and equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, oven, microwave, washing machine and plenty of room to eat at the kitchen table. Willow fencing provides privacy in the small part walled courtyard garden so you have somewhere to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening after a day out exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. You can slip out the side gate from the drive onto a beautiful private wooded lane. Keep your eyes peeled for the resident Buzzards, a pair of Jays and the Roe Deer in the woods. It is a very peaceful and rural but not remote location and you have easy and quick access to the North Cornish coastline, the A39 and A30 and are very well positioned to explore all of Cornwall. You have exclusive use of the Little Forge (which has its own separate front door) the little terrace in front of the property (with a Bench) and a small private courtyard garden with table and chairs. My husband and I moved to Cornwall in Sept 2019 after 20yrs in London (which for me was returning to my home County). One of us is usually around and we can be available for as much or as little as you would like us to be. The Little Forge is part of an old Mill and Stables and the 4 houses were converted in the late 1980s. It is very peaceful in a rural but not remote setting. It is 10 mins drive to Mawgan Porth with its beautiful beach, Pub and shops. It is 15 mins from some of the best surfing at Watergate Bay and 15 mins from the pretty fishing village of Padstow and a fantastic choice of great places to eat. There is easy access (by car) to miles of Coastal walking and we are close enough to the A39 and A30 to make exploring the rest of Cornwall very easy. You will need a car as there is no public transport to the property. There is ample gated secure parking in the drive/ courtyard shared with our house. Unfortunately we are unable to take dogs and the property is not suitable for children.
