You'll feel like you're a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big smoke when you stay at our darling cottage just 30 minutes from Brisbane. Leave the worries behind and put your feet up... Perfect for a romantic weekend away, or a weekend away with the children. Set on a beautiful green acre with views of pastures and the mountains of the Glen Rock State Forest. You'll wake to the sounds of the neighbours cows mooing not too early each morning. Head out to the chicken coup and grab your own eggs for breakfast. Relax as you watch the mist disappear in the early morning sun. Feast on your lunch at the picnic table under the large norfolk pine. See if you can find the fairy door! As the sun sets, you'll be asking yourself 'What colour will the sky be this evening? Purple, red, orange, pink?'' As the temperature drops, and the children are occupied watching their favourite movie on the outdoor cinema screen, throw some wood into the chiminea, gather around and enjoy a glass of wine and the company of your nearest and dearest. The property is situated on an acre of land, with views extending much further. The property is separated into four blocks of land with the main cottage on one, a granny flat on the lower block and two blocks of land only. The granny flat is utilised by the owners when guests reside in the cottage. All areas, bar the granny flat block, are accesible to guests. There is a granny flat on the property which will be occupied by us when you're staying at the cottage. However, we appreciate that guests may have different expectations of their stay. We are happy having as little or as much interaction as you would like. For any queries or assistance during your stay I can be contacted on my mobile anytime. Just a 5 minute drive will get you to the quaint little town of Rosewood that has an IGA Supermarket, Post Office, 2 pubs and much more. Close enough to be convenient but far enough away to appreciate the country lifestyle. Lake Moogerah is less than a 30 minute drive away and well worth the visit. The people in town are very friendly and you're often greeted with a smile and a friendly chat in the street. If you're after convenience then having your own vehicle is a great idea. Alternatively, trains run into Rosewood every 30 minutes!
