Splashy Mill Annexe is a modern self contained guest suite nestled in the grounds of a Grade II listed water mill formally used to provide flint for the thriving local pottery industries including Wedgewood. Impressive views of the waterfall, still working water wheel, mill pond and gardens can be enjoyed from your window and outside dining / patio area. Accommodation includes kitchen, lounge / dining room with log burner, double bedroom with ensuite equipped with bath and walk in shower Whether snuggling up in front of the log burner, or enjoying the sun on the private patio area we hope you will be able to relax and enjoy the site and sound of the water as much as we do. You may even have a visit from the resident kingfisher! The annex is below our house and so whilst it is self contained with its own key safe for entry, we will usually be on hand to welcome you and answer and questions you may have during your stay. Set in the conservation area of Moddershall Valley Spashy Mill is one of as many as 11 water mills that once existed in this area at the height of the pottery industry supported by the unique geological features of the valley. The network of footpaths winding through the area allow further exploration. Whilst less than 15 minutes junction 14 and 15 of the M6, Splashy is nestled in the quite village of Moddershall which boasts a local pub, tea tooms and antiques shop whilst the pretty market town of Stone with its cobbled streets and numerous bars and coffee shops is just two miles.
