Located on a 100 acre working farm (Tambo Farm) with magnificent views "The Barn" which is completely separate to the homestead, is a fully air conditioned 2 King bedroom space (large rooms with sitting areas) with a large open living and dining area. Tambo Farm is a working hobby farm with Cattle and Sheep and a small paddock with friendly animals that if prearranged you are welcome to interact with and feed, including Alpacas , Goats and a house rescue Cow named Freddy. There are 3 dogs on the property who will definitely want to meet you and more than likely hang out with you for some pats. The Barn is the type of place that if you just need some peace and you don't want to leave you don't need to, The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need with a full sized oven and a BBQ. Breakfast provisions will be left for you. A range of cereals, as well as fresh eggs from our chooks and some bacon and bread, orange juice and a range of teas and nespresso coffees. Spreads are also there including raw honey from our beehives on the property. We can assist with catering if you would like? This can include locally sourced BBQ meats, salads, anti pasto platters or maybe some slow cooked lamb shanks and sticky date pudding. If you are interested in catering just ask and we are happy to arrange what you want. Due to the nature and the potential hazards associated with a working farm, this accommodation is listed as an adults only retreat as we would hate to expose children to any unforeseen potential risks around animals etc... If you need anything we are close by so please ask, we want you to love every minute on our little piece of paradise and make sure you are comfortable. We are a working cattle & sheep farm on 100 acres, which you are welcome to walk the hills and explore at your leisure. There is a dam on the property and a seasonal creek. Bring your rods (or borrow one) for a bit of fishing. If you like your space, peace and quiet, this is the place for you. On our property there is plenty of space to park vehicles or a mini bus. Public transportation provides a train service from the Melbourne CBD (Southern Cross Station) to Riddles Creek Station which is located approx. 15 min away from our property. For $30 we will happily collect you from the Riddles Creek Train Station or $50 from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine). If you want to explore the wineries throughout the region but don't want to have to worry about a designated driver. We would be happy to prearrange private transport for you and tailor a tour that suites your requirements or just let us take you wherever things lead us on the day...? Please be note that this accommodation is designed to cater for a total 4 guests comfortably (i.e. 2 x King bedrooms). The listed rate is for the use of the full use of the facilities including the use of 1 x bedroom (i.e. 2 guests). Bookings for more than 2 guests incurs a surcharge to the rate to cater for the use of the second bedroom/additional guests/cleaning/catering etc.. When making a booking, please specify the number of guests correctly so that we can accommodate your requirements appropriately. NOTE: If you need to make a booking for more than 4 guests, we can usually accommodate with the use of fold out bedding etc... but please contact us prior to making the booking so that we can discuss the arrangements for more than 4 guests.
