The Courtyard Loft, a room with a spectacular view
We are a small Equine Farm, in the heart of the Peak District. The Courtyard is accessed up a set of stone steps above our tack room and wash area. It is a truly idilic setting, with a balcony facing east, for you to sit and watch the sunrise with your morning coffee. Our day starts at around 9am, and finishes around 5pm. so only book with us if you are happy to hear and see the horses in between those times. A beautiful get away just for adults. The Courtyard is a little bit of luxury in the heart of the beautiful Peak District. A place for a couple to come and get away from it all, take in the views and appreciate the beauty of this location. It has a lounge and small kitchen area, a separate bedroom, en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is a balcony with table and chairs to sit and take in the beautiful view, facing east, it is a lovely place to sit in the mornings and watch the sun rise. The Courtyard loft space has a limited kitchen space, equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, electric egg boiler, fridge and dishwasher. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A SPACE WITH A FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN it is perfect for making a snack or prepared meals with salad etc .There will be tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar available via sachets, and a fresh pint of milk will be in the fridge, along with a few nibbles in the cookie jar :) There is a parking space directly at the side of the steps to the premises, underneath the balcony, with a sign " Parking for The Courtyard". Entry to the stables is not permitted, however if you would like to see the horses please ask and we can arrange a member of staff to show you around. Our beautiful loft space has a key safe entry, so you will be able to let yourself in, I will do my best to get over to greet you shortly after your arrival, but if i'm not around then i will message you to let you know. The farm itself, and the stables are out of bounds to visitors unless accompanied by a member of staff. We are based just outside Bakewell, home of the famous Bakewell Pudding, we are a very short car ride from Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Carsington Reservoir which is a must for those who enjoy water-sports, to name but a few of the delightful places to visit. Fabulous walks straight from the premises, join the limestone way at Robin Hoods Stride and take in the breathtaking countryside. Cycling is very popular, be it road bike or mountain biking. We can provide a safe store for bikes and water hose to wash off. There is a bus stop a good twenty minute walk away, but please note it is not ideal to stay with us unless you have transport. Our bus service is quite good, but it is not on the doorstep PLEASE NOTE THIS LOFT SPACE DOES NOT HAVE A FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN IT IS INTENDED FOR COUPLES THAT WANT TO EXPORE THE AREA AND EAT OUT IN OUR LOCAL PUBS AND RESTAURANTS. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE A LIGHT SNACK OR BRING READY MADE FOOD FOR RE-HEATING IN THE MICROWAVE. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH TOASTER,MICROWAVE, KETTLE, FRIDGE AND DISHWASHER, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PROPERTY.
