The Granary, Penegoes, Machynlleth
Felin Crewi dates from the 15th century and both cottages retain many original features including a working water wheel. For the adventurous Felin Crewi borders the Snowdonia National Park, boasts excellent Sea Trout fishing in the river Dovey and has many mountain biking trails nearby. For a more relaxed stay there are many stunning beaches around Aberystwyth, 20 minutes' drive west of Machynlleth and a host of gentle walks in the stunning countryside surrounding Felin Crewi. The Granary has a pretty open plan kitchen and cosy lounge with lovely roof beams. Off the lounge is a double bed room and a bedroom with two single beds. Up a short flight of stairs from the lounge is the bunk-bed room and a small family bathroom. The WiFi is usually good. There is also a 5x10m lovely, white marquee for 'dining, dancing and everything alfresco!'. This will be erected prior to your arrival and remain until your departure. This will incur an extra cost of £185. (When you make a booking, please add a message that you will require the marquee). It's a quiet location with easy access to Machynlleth for shopping & eating, Aberdovey for the sea and the mountains for great walks. (There's a lovely walk on the Glyndŵr's Way just outside the front door of the cottages). Guests are encouraged to enjoy the short waterfall walk and surrounding area. Please close all gates. The wooden decking by the Millpond is the only area that remains private. IMPORTANT: Guests are asked to unload on arrival and then park their cars, at all times, in the private car park, back up the lane on the right, through the new set of gates. If I can help with ideas for walking, restaurants, events etc - please feel free to ask It's beautiful! Mach Taxis .... brilliant!
