Spacious apartment between Bern and the mountains

Our accommodation is located near Bern and Belp Airport. Ideal for hiking, mountain biking, for excursions in the region, swimming in the Aare, ... The approximately 60sqm, very bright, cozy apartment with high ceilings is ideally located at Bern’s mountain, the Gurten, near the forest, with beautiful walking and jogging trails. The accommodation is well suited for single nature lovers, couples, business travelers and families (with children). Car recommended. The apartment has its own entrance and is located in the upper floor of our house. It is completely at your disposal and offers enough space for 4 adults, to sleep, eat (fully equipped kitchen) and relax (sofa, sunny balcony overlooking the countryside). The apartments has its own entrance Children are very welcome. We could order for you local food, like e.g. an apero plate, freshly baked bread or eggs from a farm in the neighborhood (extra fee). And, of course, we are more than happy to share tips for trips and sightseeing. Halfway up the hill between Kehrsatz Bahnhof and Gurtenkulm (venue of the legendary Gurtenfestival), relaxation starts with the first view from the window in them morning. A car-free walk through the picturesque Gurtendörfli up to the Gurten with a breathtaking panoramic view of Bern and the Bernese Oberland (including Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau) starts directly from our garden. At the foot of the Gurten lures the Aare and invites you to long walks or bike rides (direction Bern or Thun) or a refreshing "Aareschwumm". To Berne it is only a stone's throw (7km to the center), S-Bahn trains run regularly in just 15 minutes from Kehrsatz to Bern. By car or public transport(15-25 minutes walking distance!), it is also very close to Lake Thun (30 minutes), Neuchâtel (50 minutes) or Zurich (75 minutes). The best way to move around is, of course, on foot or by bike. If it needs to be faster or more comfortable, you can take your car (free parking lot in front of the house) or ride the S-Bahn (S-Bahn station Kehrsatz can be reached in 10-15 minutes downhill on foot, uphill it takes about 20 minutes). The S-Bahn to Bern leaves every 15/30 minutes, and you can reach Lake Thun in 40 minutes (plus 15 minutes walk). If you need a taxi (e.g. from or to Bern main station), just let us know, and we will organize a special deal for you (since taxis tend to be rather expensively in Switzeland). With luggage we highly recommend to arrive by car or taxi. During your stay you can walk up and down to the local train station. It is a steep hill, it takes 15 minutes down, 20-25 minutes up. You don't want to do this with heavy luggage.
