Its not more than 10 minutes from Kyaliwajjala trading centre. 5 minutes from Uganda Martyrs Shrine. At the Uganda Martyrs Museum sign post is where you turn left off the main tarmac road. On the left side adjacent to the museum is the apartment. From here you are 15 minutes in Ntinda. To Shoprite mall Lugogo and Game its about 20 minutes. In 10 minutes you are in Metroplex Naalya. Unfortunately Ugandan houses are only in rare cases identifiable with street names and house numbers. This is only common in the middle of the city, older places or very up scale neighbourhoods. Steadily growing to a beautiful middle class residence area. To compliment the Martytrs Shrine, a museum is under way (a minute away). For shopping, quality shopping village has enough to offer. Kireka is well known for its bars and night life. Mandela National Stadium, the largest sports stadium in Uganda. Namugongo is in Kira Municipality. Annually, on June 3, Christians from all parts of Uganda, East Africa and other parts of the world congregate at Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Shrine to commemorate the lives of the Uganda Martyrs and their dedication to their religious beliefs. Uganda Martyrs Shrine. Reason being, on 3 June 1886, thirty-two young men, pages of the court of King Mwanga II of Buganda, were burned to death at Namugongo for their refusal to renounce Christianity. Some of the men were Anglican and others were of the Catholic faith. That is great history!! The Gardens at the shrine and the legendry healing waters of the man made lake are a must see and feel! Kira Town is the largest town council in Uganda, by population. The town is the second-largest urban center in the country, after Kampala, the national capital. You will enjoy the calm of your house once you have all the noise behind you. When you have settled in, you can get adventurous and take a 3 minutes walk from the house to the main road and chose between a Matatu and a Boda Boda. It can be fun!!
