The Granny Flat is furnished with comfortable twin-beds, a cosy sitting & dining area, kitchen, climate control and a stove. The Granny Flat is detached, has a private entrance surrounded by a garden and patio. Patrick and Maria welcome you at Granny’s B&B, a restored authentic cottage in a rustic and relaxed ambiance that originates back as far as the 1920’s. Breath the tranquil atmosphere of the Irish country life. We are situated 5 minutes from the Victorian sea side town Tramore and less than 10 minutes from the city centre of Ireland’s oldest city Waterford. After a day of enjoying all the beauty and epicurean delights County Waterford has to offer it is time to lite the stove, relax in a comfortable arm chair and put the feet up while enjoying your favorite beverage. End the day with a good night rest in the comfortable twin bed to wake up next morning in a total relaxed atmosphere. The cottage is detached from the main house and has its own private entrance. Guests can use the patio with picnic bench or one of the cosy sitting area’s at the back garden, enjoying tranquility and an astonishing view. Our life stock exists of three cuddly Border Collies, two perky cats and nosy hens. Free Wi-Fi and ample parking. We offer additional breakfast service for €5.00- €9.50 p.p., tailored to your wishes. For the safety of you and other guests we have a time schedule in place. If you have additional wishes please don't hesitate to ask us, as we would like to make your stay as relaxing and complete as possible. If you prefer to spend your stay in private that is no problem. If you want to have more interaction, it will be our pleasure. If you like the outdoors bring your hiking boots for a scenic walk, climb the Sugar Loaf rock formation or walk to the Knockeen Dolmen, a stone construction of megaliths that go back to 3000 BC. Both only 2 kilometer away from your doorstep. We can provide a large range of walking / hiking routes of different categories. Explore the uniqueness of the area cycling, either the Tramore area of the Waterford Greenway. Are you more into travel the equestrian way then there is the option to make your way to the local horse stables (3km) for a guided tour. Enjoy the stunning views of the ocean by a walk at the 4.5 km fabulous sandy beach or even go on a surfboard yourself and ride the waves as Tramore is famous as a surf hotspot. Take a drive down the Copper Coast with its beautiful cliffs, coves and panorama’s. Discover your own private beach at the many coves that are along the coast and visit one of the many quaint villages. Stroll through the narrow lanes of the Viking Triangle in Waterford city and imagine yourself in the Medieval and nourish yourself in one of the many restaurants. If you prefer it more low profile, go for some pub grub and experience a live trad session with local musicians. There are too many things to discover therefore we can provide recommendations for sight-seeing, cultural visits and gastronomical places. We are 5 minutes from Tramore and 10 minutes from the city center of Waterford, therefore we recommend your own transportation. There is ample parking space on the premises for your car, motorbikes or bicycle.
