Cozy Coastal Hideaway
Hi! During our travels, we have noticed a shortage in places to stay for longer durations without breaking the bank. We also have had kids attending the local colleges, Cal Poly and Cuesta, and we know the challenge in finding a place to stay while getting the kids settled or graduation. We want to welcome those families, traveling nurses, traveling business people or the vacationer looking for a longer stay. You’ll be close to the ocean (2 blks), state parks, restaurants, wineries and shopping! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, state parks and a bakery next door!! This is your place if you like to: Walk Run Fish Bike Eat (so many restaurants, so little time!) Drink (beer, wine, cider) Bird watch Kayak SUP Surf Hike Check out/shop little beach towns Wine taste The whole house is yours to enjoy. I mentioned it before, but in case you missed it, we don’t recommend toddlers at this house. There is a stairwell with a double railing that wraps around the wall and it is virtually impossible to install a baby gate, either at the top or bottom. (Guests have felt strongly that we mention this) Guests can phone, text or email with questions or concerns. We also have family nearby to help if necessary. Baywood Park is a quaint little niche located in Los Osos. It is an old school beach town like we knew in the 60’s and 70’s. No bright, shiny high rises or people rushing around. You can walk to the Farmers Market on Monday afternoon and there is a fantastic bakery literally next door. The Beerwood Tavern with great food and local wines/beer is a stones throw away, as is Nardonnes Pizza, Blue Heron restaurant, Thai Food, Mexican food and a true dive bar called Merrimaker (seriously, if you punch in “dive bar” into your phone The Merrimaker will come up!) The neighborhood just recently welcomed the “High Street Deli”, an extremely popular deli first located in San Luis Obispo. This is their 2nd location now. You won’t want to miss this, the food is amazing! If you bring SUP’s or kayaks, you can walk down the street to launch into the “Back Bay”. You can also just hang out on either the front or back decks and take in the scenery and incredible sunsets! There is plenty of parking at the house. You can also ride bikes (not provided, sorry), walk, or use Uber etc. There is a studio/shed in the back, if you’d like to bring bicycles. There are beach towels and picnic supplies for heading to the beach. Also, there is a studio/shed in the back to store your bikes, kayaks or SUP’s.
