Very comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, and a well-equipped kitchen - having coffee and tea available was a nice touch. Very easy to head out to the suburbs and to hop on the El to explore the city at night. Fat Duck, the tavern just down the block, is wonderful! Centrally located in downtown Forest Park where you will find dining, shopping and great nightlife. Historic Oak Park is just across the street. Easy access to/from O'Hare and Midway airports. This large two-room studio apartment features a large living/sleeping area plus a separate eat-in kitchen. The apartment just underwent a refresh and everything is like new. The apartment features a queen bed plus a sofa bed if you need an additional bed. The bedding and linens are new and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to prepare a meal or to use regularly during a long-term stay. Parking is available on the property. Pets are welcome with pre-approval (contact host). We have allocated five of our apartments to our Airbnb Lodging Portfolio. We provide professionally cleaned linens. The apartment is professionally cleaned after each guest and we keep it spotless. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need for a long-term stay. We provide a smart tv (Roku) and high-speed wireless internet. We provide a desk and chair for if you need to work from home. If you are staying longer than a week - we provide fresh linens and towels as needed. We maintain a management office on-site and are available to assist you during business hours. These apartments are perfect for a weekend getaway, a long vacation, or a visit to town for business. You will have the entire apartment to yourself. We will provide instructions for access to the apartment via a lockbox which will be available 24/7. I own the building and a business located in the building. We have a management office onsite and we will be available during business hours to assist you in any way. After business hours, we will try to assist you when needed. OAK PARK: Located just ten miles west of downtown Chicago - Oak Park has long been considered one of the most architecturally significant villages in the United States. FOREST PARK: Forest Park is located just outside of Chicago and next to historic Oak Park. Located just ten miles west of downtown Chicago, Forest Park is a vibrant, active and diverse community rich in history and small-town charm with an urban feeling. This apartments is a short walk to downtown Forest Park, downtown Oak Park, and the Oak Park Historic Districts. And you have multiple transportation options to get you to downtown Chicago. Just park your car and explore without parking worries! The apartment is located in close proximity to 3 train lines with fast service to downtown Chicago: BLUE LINE CTA: is a 5 minute walk to the Harlem/Lake Blue Line Station in Forest Park. The Blue Line arrives in downtown Chicago (various stations) in approximately 23 minutes and then goes on to O’Hare Airport. GREEN LINE CTA: is a 7 minute walk to the Harlem/Lake Green Line Station in Oak Park. The Green Line arrives in downtown Chicago (various stations) in approximately 26 minutes. METRA: The Metra (Suburban Train Line) is a 7 minute walk to the Harlem/Lake Metra Station. The Metra train line arrives in downtown Chicago (Ogilvie Transportation Center) in approximately 15 minutes. PARKING: We have parking on the property if you arrive by vehicle. Please coordinate parking with the Host prior to your arrival. AIRPORTS: The apartment is centrally located between Midway and O’Hare airports. O’Hare is about 20-25 minutes by car. Midway is about 30-35 minutes by car. You can get to and from O’Hare Airport using the Blue Line CTA which runs 24/7 between Forest Park and O’Hare Airport. It is a quiet building but it is on a main street. There is typical "city" and street noise (cars, people, some honking, etc.). Please be aware if you are a particularly light sleeper or are sensitive to street noise. *The apartment is on the second floor requiring one flight of stairs to climb. *Free parking is available on the property (one space). *Pets are welcome with pre-approval.
