Lakeside Guesthouse- on the lake among the trees

Beautiful self-contained guesthouse on a waterfront property, away from the chaos but close to everything you need. Recently renovated with two rooms and a brand new bathroom and all amenities. Our property is on the shore of Lake Macquarie. We are in a quiet parkland setting, with no traffic. Wake up to the native birds and rustle of the gum trees. Then go for a walk around the Lake, throw a ball in the park, paddle a kayak or go for a fish. Our guesthouse ("The Studio") is self-contained, and completely standalone from our main house, with its own private entry. Kids or babies no problem! Has two rooms. First room is a bedroom with queen bed and full ensuite bathroom, and second room has the front door, a bunk bed with fridge, microwave, computer desk and tea/coffee facilities. We can provide a fold-up bed for any extra guests. This area is perfect for the nature lover, boatie or fisherman. We sit on a large park with kids playground, basketball court and room for cricket/soccer/etc. National park walking tracks a 10 minute walk away, or go exploring around the lake for the incredible historic indigenous sites. Kayaking, sailing, fishing or just sitting under a tree watching the view, all out the front. Plenty of parking, and room for boat trailers, caravans, etc. We are dog friendly. Whilst adjacent to the Lake, the Studio only has limited views of the lake itself. Guests can access guesthouse completely independently from our house. The most direct way to the adjacent park and lake is through a gate, and down the side of our property- its about 10m from The Studio. We can provide things like kayak and fishing gear by arrangement. We've a young family of our own so tend to be pretty busy. We'll generally leave you be, but you are more than welcome to drop by the house to ask advice on the local area, or join us for a drink on the verandah as we watch the incredible sunsets over the lake. Immediate surrounding area is parkland , the lake and quiet suburban houses. There's a ramp out the front for your kayak or paddleboard, park and kids playground next door. Incredible walking around the lake, or the adjacent national park. Takeaway pizza and asian restaurants, and a bottleshop, are a couple of minutes away. 10 minute drive to great cafes and restaurants of Warners Bay and Toronto. 10 minute drive to ice hockey, ten pin bowling, Lake Macquarie Art Gallery, Inflatable World, or the incredible (needs to be seen to be believed!) kids playground at Speers Point Park. 20 minute drive to surf beaches, or 45 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards. Located 5km from Fassifern station on the Sydney-Newcastle train line. Can catch a train from Sydney or Newcastle, and then bus from train station to right out the front of our property. The Studio has microwave, fridge, toaster and a jug, we provide cutlery and crockery, but there is no dining area, living room or full kitchen. Washing up space is limited to the bathroom sink. We have a pool on site, but this is shut down and not available for 2021/22. Dogs are welcome by arrangement- they can either stay in the Studio itself, or wander the yard. There's plenty of space for them to run and swim in the park next door. We can provide a kayak included in your accommodation price- just ask us.
