Kick back and relax in this serene, stylish, and totally updated colonial home in Upstate New York. Enjoy views of a beautiful apple orchard and the Catskill Mountains, while relaxing in the back yard oasis, with a 7-person hot tub, dining area, gas fire pit, and gas grill. Located walking distance from local restaurants in the Village of Kinderhook and attractions, including the Samascott Orchard and Samascott's Garden Market. Drive 20 minutes to Hudson and 30 minutes to Albany. The house has 3 bedroom, with sleeping space for 7 adults, and 2 full baths. Upstairs: 2 main bedrooms with queen size beds and memory foam mattresses. There is an upstairs full bathroom with tub between the two bedrooms. Downstairs: 1 bedroom with 2 extra-long twin beds (includes 1 trundle bed pullout). There is a downstairs full bathroom with stall shower. Indoor common spaces: Includes a large leather sofa that can be used as an extra sleeping space (for 1), if needed. The living room includes a large flatscreen TV with sound system and Apple TV. The kitchen is large and can seat up to 8 people on bar stools, with a small dining area that includes 4 seats and a sliding door that leads to the outdoor patio space. Outdoor common space: The back yard is fully fenced in, with 6 foot privacy fences on either side of the house. The blue stone patio includes a dining area with 6 seats, a large sun umbrella, a seating area with a gas fire pit, and a hot tub that can accommodate up to 7 people. The hot tub can also be used as a "dipping pool" on hotter days by adjusting the temperature. Additional: A queen sized air mattress is available, if needed. House access: Back door has an automatic lock with keypad and guests will be provided with a passcode for their stay. Parking: Private driveway parking for up to 3 cars, and additional cars can be parked across the street in the strip of grass. The Village of Kinderhook is a small village located about halfway between Albany and Hudson. There are a few local restaurants (Broad Street Bagels and Saissonier are two of the hosts favorites!) as well as an apple orchard (with store and self-pick) and garden market, all within walking distance. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, and the hosts asks guests to please respect our amazing and very friendly neighbors. A car is recommended. However, there are taxi services to/from the Hudson Amtrak station. Security System: The property has a Simplisafe security system which will be deactivated prior to guest arrival. There is a motion sensor in the living room and door alarms on doors leading outside. The alarm system will be deactivated during guests' stays. The door sensors will remain activated to alert hosts of any doors left open accidentally. Smoke/fire and Carbon Monoxide Detectors: The house is fully equipped to code with alarm systems that will remain activated during guests' stays. Basement/Cellar: There is a basement/cellar with an access door from the main level of the house which will remain locked. Since there are lawn tools and low ceilings, this area will not be accessible for guests, but a neighbor will have a key in case there is an issue with the heating system, hot water heater, or circuit breaker that needs to be accessed. Cameras: There is a Ring camera and back yard Simplisafe security camera, which are used to monitor the home when there is no one there. If guests are uncomfortable with the back yard security camera, they can unplug it during their stay, and please plug it back in before checkout. There are no other cameras on the property.
