Need a highchair and pack-n-play? We've got you covered. Forgot your favorite book? Choose a classic from the shelves and get refreshed. Fully functional kitchen with everything you need to cook at home, with lovely appliances. There is even a private laundry room if you are staying awhile. We supply a Keurig and pods, tea, hot chocolate and of course fresh cream and sugar. From towels to pillows and sheets, we only use the high quality we would want in our own home. We live in the main house, and will always greet you and be available for questions and to give help. SPECIAL NOTE ADDED MAY 2018: KANSAS CITY has enforced strict short term rental laws on a very small portion of the city . Because of these new codes we can only host a single guest or married/related people for 1-29 days. We can host up to 6 people for 30+ days. This home backs to 7 acres and a creek, and sits on a quiet cul-de-sac with delightful families. Please drive slowly and watch for children. 5 minute drive to the International House of Prayer; 25 minutes to downtown KC Power & Light District; 20 minutes to the Country Club Plaza; 20 minutes to Arrowhead 10 minutes to Leawood/Overland Park, KS; 5 minutes to Target, Wal-Mart, Chipotle, Starbucks, and the famous original Jack Stack KC BBQ! The guest house is sound insulated but you will hear some extent of floor/ceiling noise when children run or chairs are moved. Our family dog is hypo-allergenic, and roams outdoors, but is never in the guest house. She may bark at first like any good watchdog, but will soon warm right up and want to play. **FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN** We love hosting families! We understand that accidents happen, but please understand that if bedwetting or other damaging accident happens to linens, furniture, or other property, we will need to charge an additional cleaning fee at a minimum. If a mattress or sofa is soaked with urine, it will need to be replaced and the cost absorbed by the guest. Please take precautions with younger children and bring protective material if you anticipate a potential issue. :)
