Centrally located and in the heart of the historical Waldensian Valleys of Torre Pellice in the Metropolitan of Turin in the north western part of the Piedmont region in Italy, is a small newly renovated cosy studio apartment with a breath-taking view, a lot of natural light and in a vibrant neighbourhood. The property is literally around the corner from the significant cultural Waldensian centre which houses the Waldensian Museum. Apartment is 5-minute walking distance from small antique shops, gelato shops, restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, local banks, tourist centre and is about an 8-minute walking distance to a supermarket and a bus transport system which can take you to a much bigger city like Pinerolo and then to Turin. Torre Pellice hosts an important ice hockey team. The Hockey Club Valpellice , milita in Serie A1 skating arena is about a 10 minute walk from the apartment. In the summer, this village is very fun and lively which encourages one to get out to have a great time. If you are fortunate to be here, every Friday between 08h00 a.m. and 12h00 p.m. you will be able to explore the local Italian markets, which are lively places where you can see a cross-section of Italian society and learn more about the local customs and etiquette with live music in the back drop. The apartment is ideal for Honeymooners, couples, friends, colleagues, single travelers. The apartment is on the third floor of the building (flight of stairs with rails, no elevator so great for keeping fit and working off all that pasta) LIVING AREA: It has one Queen Bed and one Sofa Bed, cupbaord space and a small table with two chairs ideal for sunset dinners. There is no air conditioning but it has a tall electric fan to keep cool during the summer. There is No television. There is No Wifi It leads to one bathroom including a toilet, basin and has a shower with hot and cold water, with shampoo, body wash, soap and extra towels. The KITCHENETTE: The kitchenette has enough utensils you need to cook even the largest of meals. Comes with: -A variety of Pots and Pans -Serving utensils- spoons, forks, knives, plates, bowls, saucer -Tongs. -A chef knive -Wine opener -Grater -Salad bowl, -colander -Water glasses, wine glasses, champagne flutes. -Coffee and Tea cups, -Kettle -French press coffee plunger -An electric stove -A fridge -Olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffe, tea, sugar. -Cleaning material, -Broom,Dustpan, mop, There is no Microwave, There is no Oven, there is only a 2 plate induction stove TRANSPORTATION: If you do not have a car, Mondays to Fridays, the bus transport system is available approximately every 30minutes from 05h30 a.m. to 08h00 a.m. and then runs approximately every 60 minutes from 08h30 a.m. to 13h00 p.m and then continues again for every 30 minutes from 13h00 p.m. to 22h00 p.m. Weekends and public holiday schedules are not consistent. AIRPORT TRANSFER: Depending on availability and for a charge, upon guest arrival the host is willing to pick-up guest from the airport, as private taxis and car rentals can be extremely expensive. Torre Pellice buildings and institutions testify to its reality as the capital of the Waldensian world. We can mention the Foresteria, the Museum with a rich historical and ethnographic documentation, the Valdese House, which every year hosts the Synod, the neo-Romanesque temple of 1852 , the College (now European High School) built in 1835 , the Convitto Valdese, erected in memory of the 500 Waldensians who died in World War I , the Waldensian Youth House and the House of the Deaconesses, the headquarters of the nurse sisters at work in the numerous assistance institutions. The " Filippo Scroppo " Civic Gallery of Contemporary Art brings together about four hundred works of painting, sculpture and drawing by post-war Italian artists, including Carena , Cordero , Gallizio , Levi , Menzio , Paulucci , Rambaudi , Ruggeri . From the Ruà village, situated on a promontory, you can enjoy a panoramic view over the valley. The Coppieri township , once the boundary of the ghetto in which the Waldensians were confined , is today a real, completely rebuilt village.
