The Japanese Room is a private room on the second floor. The shared areas of the house such as living room, downstairs half bathroom, deck, Twilight Zone and kitchen will be available to you. I AM IMMUNE COMPROMISED AND THUS CAN ONLY HOST PEOPLE WHO ARE VACCINATED. The backyard is bordering the Regional Water Authority Property with many mixed use trails. The house is about 2 miles from Westville Center, a little over 4 miles from Yale Hospital, the New Haven Green, and University of New Haven. The house is located on a quiet street, in between the Yale golf course and the sporting fields of Hopkins School with the backyard bordering the Regional Water Authority Property. The trails from the water property are accessible from the backyard for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. There is parking on the driveway and on the street. The house is about 2 miles from Westville Center and a little over 4 miles from Yale Hospital and the New Haven Green. The house is approximately a 10 minute drive from Route 15 (Merrit Parkway) and 15 minutes from the I-95 and I-91. New Haven is a somewhat bike friendly city, and people do use bikes for transportation in this area. Uber and Lyft work well in the New Haven area. There is a bus stop 20 minutes walking from the house. From the stop, there are buses going into downtown New Haven. From downtown there are buses to the train station, other parts of town, and other cities in CT. There are train stations nearby in New Haven and West Haven with direct trains to New York City and Boston with stops in between. My house is in Westville, bordering the Regional Water Authority Property. This particular little sub-neighborhood, has its own one entree/exit. I live at the very other end. So the street is very quiet and safe. I'm surrounded by people of all ages, color, religion, ethnic background, gender, and orientation. If you climb over my back fence there are trails for walking, running, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. With a fish permit you can fish at one of the Maltbe Lakes. (No swimming, boating, or skating allowed.) Wikipedia has an entry on Westville. There are sidewalks for walking in the whole neighbor hood. People use their bicycle for leisure and transportation. There is a bus stop a 20 minute walk from my house. Most people use a car for transportation in and out of the neighbor hood for work, shopping, and socializing. There are several synagogues in the area.
