In Pelion with fantastic views of the Pagasitic Gulf. Beautiful nature, lovely village squares, good hiking trails. Day trip to Meteora monasteries or island Skiathos. On a hill, in an old olive grove, we have built our house with an adjacent apartment of 55m2. The place has a breathtaking, panoramic view over the bay, where fishing boats and sailing boats as well as islands located further down are the varied spectacle of the day. At sunrise and sunset you can enjoy spectacular colored skies. The apartment has been decorated with love and attention for detail. The space consists of a fully equipped open plan kitchen and a living room with dinner table, (bed)couch, large wardrobe and a fire place. There are terrace doors to the front terrace with a splendid view over the bay where 2 loungers and a table invite you to relax. Via another pair of terrace doors you can enter the terrace which is facing the garden with olive trees. This one has got a roof over it to enable you to sit at the dining table in the shade. When lazy, you can surrender in a hammock. The sleeping room is equipped with a comfortable double bed and the bathroom consists of a wash basin, toilet, shower as well as a cupboard for your toiletries. The kitchen is fully equipped: ceramic cooker, cool/freeze combination, dishwasher, juice centrifuge, coffee machine and of course all necessary tableware and cooking utensils. The apartment is attached to the main house but offers all possible privacy: private entrance, 2 private terraces and a large private part of the garden. More than sufficient parking space. During your stay I will do my utmost to contribute to an unforgettable holiday experience. At the same time respecting your privacy. At 200 meters from the apartment is the nearest village Chorto; a picturesque coastal village which consists of a small harbor with a few traditional taverns. The adjoining fishing dwellings give this charming village an authentic appearance. As it is located on the more or less enclosed Pagasitic Gulf, the sea is very often quiet here, unlike the Aegean coast. As any village on the Gulf, there are a number of bays with small beaches. At a distance of 7km is Argalasti, a village for food, ATM, health center, pharmacy and local market on Saturday. In our neigborhood as well as in other parts of Pelion walking 'the kalderimia' (old cobbled stone paths formerly used by shepherds), is highly recommended. You might also like to visit the nearby island of Skiathos which can be done on a day trip. Highly recommended is a visit to the monasteries of Meteora. The monasteries were built on top of rocks in the 11th or 12th century at a height of 300 meters to protect the inhabitants against the rulers. Given the distance (124km) and the sights it will cost you a day of your holiday but you will certainly not regret it. I look forward to provide you with all possible information on whatever you choose to undertake. Bus transportation is available from Chorto towards the south of Pelion and also along the coast in the direction of Volos. Experience has learned us though that most guests choose the flexibility of car rental when they come to Pelion.
