Set in amongst trees and bracken, in its own 3 acre wood, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind and take in the stunning countryside views that being amongst the trees provide. Yn Y Coed comes equip with its own living area with a cosy log burner for cooler nights. The kitchen/ dining area looks down the track and comes with running drinking water from tank, gas stove and oven, utensils, crockery and cooking equipment as well as a cool box. We now have a fridge/freezer in a shed at the bottom of the track for guests use, there is an ample supply of freezer packs for use in the cool box. Take in the views of the valley whilst eating your breakfast at the breakfast bar or sit on the outdoor deck and listen to the sounds of birds and wildlife. The open plan cabin comes complete with a comfy double bed with bed linen provided and short bunk beds for children, which can be separated off by a curtain to create a cosy sleeping or changing space. The cabin has it’s own composting loo just off the deck and a hot alfresco shower, towels provided to take in the breath taking scenery. Yn Y Coed is designed to allow guests to go back to basics, whilst still being comfortable, and comes with books and games. Charging points (12v & usb) are available powered by our solar panels on the roof but please note there is no mains electricity. We would advise bringing your favourite book or having a go at spotting some of the local wildlife such as Red Kites, Woodpeckers, Buzzards etc. Guests now have use of a fire pit and bbq area near the cabin as well as access to a large field garden at the bottom of the valley with large wildlife pond. Hot water is available in the shower room and is suitable for washing and washing up but we would advise boiling a kettle for hot drinks and cooking. Unfortunately, we have a no pets policy at Yn Y Coed due to adjoining farmland with livestock. Parking is provided in our driveway across the road, we do ask that you take caution when crossing, as at some points in the day it can become quite busy. We will greet you on arrival and show you around the cabin. We can give you a hand, if required, to carry your luggage up the slope to the cabin. All the information you will require for a comfortable stay will be in the welcome pack, and we are generally always available at the house. Just ask we are here to help.
