Seahorse cottage

Seahorse Cottage is at number 9, in what was once the 19th century stables of Woodstown House, where the widowed Jacqueline Kennedy and children spent the summer of 1967, this charming cottage is reached at the end of a long tree lined driveway. The cottage is newly refurbished and less than 1.5 km from the secluded beach of Woodstown, and within easy reach of Dunmore East, Passage East and Waterford city. It is a fantastic base for exploring the south-east. This a very peaceful setting and perfect for hiding yourself away from paparazzi and writing that novel. There is free parking on site. There is WIFI available on a pay as you go basis, provided by meteor. Full instructions on how to top up are provided in the guest book. From the beginning of June to the end of August, the cottage is available for 7 or 14 day bookings starting on a Saturday - so if the calendar is showing availability for the Saturday, then it is available for the following week! Don't be afraid to get in touch if you have questions before (or after!) booking. We are based in the UK so you probably won't see me, but we have trusted professionals to meet you on site. Arrivals later than 8 pm can be accommodated by arrangement - please get in touch. It is roughly half way between Dunmore East and Passage East, with a secluded beach nearby. Dunmore East is picture perfect and has featured as a setting for TV and film (most recently Redwater). Passage East is the gateway to Wexford and the Hook peninsula. We highly recommend a car for getting around, as it is quite rural. If you do fancy an evening out there are local taxi services listed in the guestbook. The cottage is most comfortable for up to four guests, but there is an additional single sofa bed and chairs available. Please let me know in advance if you require a high-chair or travel cot which can be provide free of charge. During covid, check-in time is not before 5:30pm and we will be leaving minimum 1 day gaps between bookings.
