Pet friendly Vineyard house in peaceful area

The vacation home is on a nice, quiet location slightly uphill in the heart of the hills region of "Kozjansko". There's a lot of activities to do around. Region is famous for bike riding and hiking. 20 min drive away there is thermal park "Terme Olimia". Nearby is a beautiful artificial lake "Slivniško jezero", which is great for catfish and carp fishing, or casual walks around it. For hiking trips, there is hill "Žusem" with it's numerous trails and marvelous wooden tower named Lover Tower! Our place looks nice and warm. It's interior is made from natural materials, mostly wood and clay. Main room is surrounded with windows which make it very bright and pleasant to spend time in. Fireplace adds another dimension to the room, especially at winter. Kitchen is small but compact. It offers all the basic for cooking. Dining table can be expanded if necessary. Stairs leads us to bedroom in attic which is completely wooden. There we can find one double floor mattress and two regular ones. Our guests will have entire house for themselves. That includes main floor where are located bathroom and kitchen with dining table and living room, attic where you can sleep, and basement where you can find another kitchen for outside activities like BBQ and refrigerator. In front of the basement there is small yard shadowed by vine with BBQ fire place. From the main room you can access balcony above the yard. Next to the place there is vineyard. The entire property is not fenced. I am available if I am needed. I live 5 min drive away. Two times a month I'm there to cut grass and take care of vineyard. If it is possible, I take care of my work when no one is there. I can also wash clothes or bed linens at my place if necessary since there is no washing machine at the place. Kozjansko region was great for defending against Turks in 17th century so nowadays we can explore its hills with more than 30 castles either in ruins, completely renovated or inhabited. We are positioned between city of Šentjur and Slovenian most touristic town of Podčetrtek. Later is famous for its thermal spa and health resort but also Franciscan monastery which is located in a 16th-century castle, chocolate factory and shop, deer ranch "Jelenov greben", fairytale-land themed park "Koča pri čarovnici", numerous tourist farms and many more. It also has great connection to another historical spa and medical resort Rogaška Slatina. Šentjur is on important crossroads and stared thriving when southern railroad was built in 19th century. It hosts many bars, restaurants, supermarkets, museums. Third largest city in Slovenia, Celje, is just 30 min drive away. It is regional center of culture, sports, education, trade, economy, art, fair-trade and tourism and as such it offers possibility for many activities. Since we are in very dispersedly populated hills area public transport is not very efficient or penetrated. Most of the people living here goes by everyday work with their cars. Nonetheless, 10min walk away from our house you can find a bus station which connects you with larger cities like Šentjur and Celje approximately 4 times a day in each direction. Ticket price varies from 1.5 to 3 EUR depending on traveled distance. From Šentjur and Podčetrtek you can travel by train to any other larger city in Slovenia. Celje, Šentjur and Podčetrtek are also connected by historic Heritage train. Old museum train runs to many interesting sights and attractive tourist destinations in the region, giving you the opportunity to discover the region's diverse natural landscape and history landmarks first-hand. Moreover, you can also visit various events in the region with the heritage train. The service runs every Saturday from 22 April to 24 June and from 9. to 23. September 2017. Across the road there is an abandoned old farm, but sometimes there are still cows brought there to eat the grass. They are behind a fence. 40m uphill there is a neighbor vacation home owned by a nice older couple which they occasionally use.
