Situated on the shores of Loch Long in the stunning Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Ardmay House is the perfect choice for your special break away from it all with your nearest and dearest. Open for self-catering breaks, Ardmay House offers the perfect getaway for up to 26 guests across 12 bedrooms. We also host managed retreats for wellness practitioners. Dating from 1854 Ardmay House was originally built as a Victorian fishing lodge. The house has been comprehensively refurbished in recent years and has a very distinctive character. Located in its own grounds, the house has a private beach with a seating area that looks out onto the breathtaking scenery of Loch Long and the surrounding mountains - The Arrochar Alps. With tartan carpets, a grand piano and plenty of communal space Ardmay House has a relaxed, homely feel. We have a very convenient location, less than one hour’s drive from Glasgow, and only 45 minutes from Glasgow Airport, with excellent public transport links. Accommodation comprises of 12 bedrooms, ranging from large doubles, twins and singles (plus additional bedrooms with disabled access), a common room, dining room, well equipped games room, lounge, many toilets and showers (with further toilets and disabled facilities on ground floor), attractive grounds, private beach and large commercial kitchen. Gas BBQ for guests to use. Wi-Fi, TV with HDMI cable. DVD player, 2 pianos (including magnificent Grand Piano), bluetooth speakers, gas central heating, bed linen and towels provided. For our younger guests, we are able to provide baby and toddler amenities including travel cots, high chairs, baby bath, selection of toys, books and games at no additional cost. Well behaved dogs welcome by prior arrangement. Family owned and operated, Ardmay House is the perfect location for your family stay-cation in the West of Scotland. We are following Scottish Government guidelines closely and the house is deep-cleaned in line with the Cleaning Protocols for Self-Catering Properties and Short-Term Lets in the Context of Covid-19. Ardmay House is available to rent for a minimum of 2 nights. Please note unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings for Stag parties, 18th or 21st birthdays. Large toilet/shower rooms with 3 x individual toilets and 3 x individual showers. Single toilet and shower room. Upstairs mid-landing and rear corridor: Skye: Well equipped games room with sky light. Uist: Single room (1 guest). Gigha: Large family room with double bed and two single beds (4 guests). Large toilet/shower rooms with 3 x individual toilets and 3 x individual showers. Harris: Twin room (2 guests) Iona: Single room (1 guest) Jura: Twin Room (2 guests) Kerrera: Twin Room (2 guests) Downstairs: Mull: Single room (1 guest) Lismore: Single room (1 guest) Mull and Lismore offer disabled access and there are no stairs to these bedrooms. Disabled access toilet and shower. Guests have exclusive use of Ardmay House for the duration of their stay. Check in time: From 4pm Check out time: 10am Owner available throughout stay for any questions. Located on the shores of Loch Long, just outside the village of Arrochar on the West Coast of Scotland. Local pub The Village Inn is 0.5miles away, with the local shop 1.5 miles away. Stunning views, fresh air and plenty of walks. Less than 1 hour's drive from Glasgow, 5 minutes from Loch Lomond. Regular buses and trains from Glasgow to Arrochar, pick up service available. Glasgow Airport is 55km (around 45 min drive). As we have neighbours and noise travels across the Loch, noise should be kept within reasonable levels at all times and music should be switched off by 11pm. The lead guest will be asked to read our Covid-19 policy on arrival agreeing to abide by all current Scottish Government guidelines. We ask that you do not allow anyone in your party to travel to Ardmay House if they are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 and that masks are worn for your meet and greet/tour of the house.
