“Masseria Berzario” offers an experience in hospitality typically found in rural housing, yet different from the usual B&B. For those who want to get in touch with the roots of our land, we offer warm accommodation in a relaxing ambience. Masseria Berzario is the ideal place for rural tourism: hiking, mountain biking, traditional cuisine, along with the many other opportunities a beautiful territory can offer; the Adriatic sea, only 4 km away, with its natural habitat, its many, protected, natural oases, the historically rich cities and towns, and its numerous wine and food festivals. Berzario has 6 rooms and 1 small apartment, all with air conditioning, a private bath, a beautiful swimming pool and a common central area where guests will enjoy breakfast or just relax with a good book. You can check-out at a later time if necessary or leave your luggage and come back at a different time. Melendugno is perfectly located midway between Lecce and Otranto (15km from each). As an agricultural hub, it has a vast domain and benefits from a healthy flux of tourists thanks to its 5 award-winning marinas along the Salento coast of the Adriatic. They were awarded the Bandiera Blu, or blue flag, and 5 vele, 5 sails, (the only in Salento), the highest recognition given by Italy’s Environmental Association Legambiente: Rocca Vecchia, San Foca, Torre dell’Orso, Torre Specchia e Sant’Andrea. The area is well-organized for tourists with its beautiful alternating bays and cliffs: a real paradise. If you’re curious and can stay away from the beach for a few hours, also remember that you’re in the heart of the Apulian baroque (Lecce, Otranto, Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca, Galatina, Galatone, and Nardò), the Negromaro vineyards, and one of the oldest and most important areas for centuries-old olive groves and olive production. In summer the Salento coast turns into a giant tourist village offering free concerts, art shows, and the discovery of facts and flavors of the territory. In Roca a special inlet creates the most beautiful natural pool in the world. The ideal meta for surfers can be found 15 km away at Frassanito. A few kilometers away are the Alimini lakes which represent another wonder of the sea.
