Destiny's Run Retreat, 2 nights+ Sunshine Coast

Destiny's Run is our beautiful 4.5 acre SC Hinterland property, surrounded by gardens and parkland. You'll be staying in our 100m2 luxurious apartment, with its own entrance and terrace, underneath our home. In our back yard is a fruit orchard, veggie & herb patches, a hot house and shade tunnel. Our free range chickens that provide us all with organic yummy happy eggs, are in the paddock behind it. There is also a sauna and solar heated pool surrounded by a tropical garden. Our place is great for Romantic getaways, a relaxing stay for friends, Mother and daughter getaways, exclusive health retreats. Please note the standard option is where you have the opportunity to bring all your own food etc. No breakfast, bottle of wine, essential oils etc. will be provided with this choice of stay. Alternatively you can book our premium option, also listed on Airbnb. Your approximately 100m2 retreat is located underneath our home and is a fully self contained unit with its own entrance. Your front door is created by the artist Jack Wilms who has also made the front doors, pews and whale tale altar from the wedding chapel in Montville, as well as lots and lots of wood carvings at Secrets at the Lake. From your bed, you have a direct view on our front garden with a water feature where birds enjoy a drink and a bath. There is an undercover terrace in front of your retreat for you to use, where there is a rocking bench, as well as hanging chairs to relax in. There is a fully equipped kitchen should you wish to cook your own meals. You will also find a water kettle, toaster, microwave oven, Nikken Waterfall, Expressi Coffee machine, as well as the Expressi milk frother on the kitchen counter. On the wall in the sitting area you'll find a 50" smart tv including Netflix. There is also a dual usb loading point in the space for easy charging your phone with. As we are keen on using healthy things ourselves you will find a salt mill that holds Himalayan Salt, a pepper mill with black pepper kernels, Olive Oil and Red wine vinegar as well as Coconut oil for you to use. You are welcome to use the fresh herbs from the front yard for your cooking during your stay. As we have many more in our back yard, please feel free to ask, as we might be able to supply you with what you want and are happy to share them with you. Outside on the terrace there is a gas BBQ for you to use. In the pool area is our sauna which you can book for use. Please contact me to make a reservation. Our award winning pool area is free for use during your stay. There are two devices available to do swim training in our pool. You can do any stroke you prefer for unlimited time without being obstructed, or having to turn around. It's surrounded by a tropical garden, has an outdoor shower, as well as a hammock stand, loungers and hanging chair to relax in. Apart from the retreat, our guests have free access to the pool area (where you will mostly be by yourselves) via the front entrance and the entire front yard with your own under cover terrace. There is free parking for our guests in front of our office under a shade sale. The path (20m) to the retreat is lit by solar lighting at night up to your front door. Interaction with guests We are available for our guest although first and foremost we respect their privacy. We have travelled extensively ourselves and also appreciate the joy of interaction. My husband and I originally come from the Netherlands, therefore we are multilingual. We are both fluent in English and Dutch and can get by in French and German should you need any assistance. I am a Ka Huna / Lomi Lomi Body worker and our guests can pre-book a massage to have during their stay. Ka Huna Massage is a way to balance body, mind and spirit and is often referred to as the Rolls Royce of massage. This kind of massage can not only assist by lymphatic drainage, improving sore muscles and help relax the body, but it can also work on a deeper spiritual level. If you have never experienced one, you have the unique opportunity to do so whilst staying in our retreat. You do not have to travel anywhere as the massage is done in house. If you have had one before, I am sure you would jump at the chance to have one whilst staying at our exclusive retreat. The cost for 1hr will be $90 and $125 for 90 minutes. I am also a distributor for Young Living essential oils. During my massages I use young living essential oils. There is a diffuser in your retreat should you wish to bring your own oils to use during your stay. Alternatively you can request an oil from me against a surcharge, or purchase your own from me. Willy’s home is located in Mapleton, Queensland, Australia. Our direct neighbourhood consists of about 35 properties all with acreage, surrounded by parkland. This area used to be a dairy farm, that was transformed into a semi residential area about 15 years ago. It is still classified as rural. It is an area full of rolling hills with beautiful trees. There is always something in flower. There is a walking track going up to the IGA / petrol station in Mapleton (reasonably steep) and it's about a 3 minute drive into the centre of Mapleton. We are close to lots of wedding venues in Montville and the nearest larger town, Nambour, is about 10 minutes by car, including Nambour Hospital, which is on the way down. The best way to get around our area is by car. There is a bus going between Maleny and Nambour that you can catch on the Nambour-Mapleton Rd, but it doesn't go very often. Our family consists of my husband Walter (A volunteer officer fire fighter, next to his day time job) and myself plus our two four legged kids, Ebony and Pepper, as well as our chickens. They will remain in our backyard, but please be aware they live here too. They are not the noisy kind, but might be verbal when people arrive. Our chickens reside in our back paddock where they free range during the day, but at night they are secure in their pen. Your retreat is a separate space where our animals are not.
