Ci troviamo all'interno del complesso Villa Fonte Napoleone situato nei pressi del piccolo borgo medioevale di Poggio. L'appartamento è situato al primo piano di una storica palazzina circondata da un grande giardino e immersa in un grande parco secolare di libero accesso agli ospiti. A disposizione c'è anche una bellissima piscina con vista panoramica . La piscina è di uso comune con gli ospiti degli altri appartamenti. L'appartamento è disposto su due livelli. Il primo livello è composto da soggiorno con cucina nuova,divano letto con letto estraibile,porta finestra che da' accesso a porzione centrale della grande terrazza con vista panoramica sul monte capanne,il paese di Poggio e la piscina. Al secondo livello si trova un bagno ed un unico ambiente composto da un letto matrimoniale e due letti singoli. Lavatrice. Tv. Posto auto privato. The appartment is on the first floor of a historic building surrounded by a big garden in a centuries old park freely accessible to guests. There is a beautiful swimming pool with a panoramic view which is shared with guests from the other appartments. Accommodation The appartment is on two levels. The lower level is made up of a living area with a new kiitchen, sofa bed with hideaway bed, a French window leading to the central portion of a large terrace with a panoramic view of Monte Capanne, the village of Poggio and the swimming pool. UN PO' DI STORIA Siamo nel 1899.Il deputato Del Buono affida al famoso architetto Coppedè la costruzione di una grande villa di campagna che poi Intorno agli anni 40 diventò un albergo extra lusso grazie al commendatore portoferraiese Giuseppe Cacciò che lo ideò e realizzò. Stiamo parlando del primo albergo dell'isola. Cure termali,grandi chef,personale super efficiente,vista panoramica stupenda e un meraviglioso parco che circondava la struttura richiamarono grandi personaggi di allora a godersi le vacanze. Qualche nome?Il duca di Windsor che rinunciò al trono per amore dell'americana Wally oppure il ministro Winston Churchill,grandi finanzieri,attori(Errol Flynn,Clara Calamai),artisti come De Chirico,ministri come Scelba o Saragat e famosi imprenditori come Barilla e Singer. L'albergo offriva poi anche un esclusivo stabilimento balneare alla spiaggia "LA PAOLINA" famosa perchè si narra che su quell'isolotto la sorella di Napoleone era di abitudine prendere il sole nuda. A BIT OF HISTORY In 1899 the member of parliament, Del Buono, entrusted the famous architect Coppedè to build a big country house which then became a luxurious hotel in the 40s thanks to the commendatore Giuseppe Cacciò who designed and transformed it. We are talking about the very first hotel on the Island of Elba. Spa treatments, first class chefs, super efficient staff, splendid panoramic views and magnificent grounds that surrounded the building enticed important personalities of the day to enjoy a holiday there. Some names? The Duke of Windsor who renounced the throne for the love of the American Wally Simpson, the famous Winston Churchill, important investors, actors (Errol Flynn and Clara Calamai), artists such as de Chirico, ministers such as Scelba or Saragat and famous businessmen such as Barilla and Singer. The hotel also offered an exclusive beach resort "LA PAOLINA", famous for the story claiming that Napoleon's sister was in the habit of sunbathing nude on the little island there. In 1982 the hotel was converted into appartments and maybe you will watch the sunset from the same window that years ago was used by Churchill.......
