A.C. Thomas House - President Taft Room

The President Taft Room is the premier Victorian room of the A.C. Thomas House. Luxuriate in the spacious layout, cozy king bed, luxurious linens, large antique bath and plush spa robes. A hot healthy breakfast is served in the dining parlor and options for lunch and dinner are available just a short walk away on Main Street in the heart of New Harmony. Walk or bike around town or rent a golf card through our exclusive VIP package for guests of the AC Thomas House. You will never want to leave! President Taft stayed in this room in 1921! It is our most spacious Victorian room with a cozy king bed, large ensuite bathroom, full-sized antique tub and shower fixture. Spa robes are provided. Guests can make themselves comfortable lounging in the first floor parlors, on the spacious portico or retreat to the gazebo in English garden. Refrigerator in kitchen is available to keep beverages and snacks, Our house manager will greet you upon arrival and show your to your room and around the property. You will be provided with a key to your room and to the front door. Staff is onsite in the mornings to prepare breakfast and can be contacted if needed should you have any questions or a need arises. . The neighborhood is quiet, charming, picturesque and very safe for walking at all hours. There are several attractions within few short blocks: Roofless Church, Labyrinths, historic Harmonist sites, walking paths and charming Main Street shoppes, galleries and eateries. The main mode of transportation in New Harmony is by golf cart. Golf carts can be rented by the house through the Visitor Center or we can make a special arrangement for all day or weekend rentals - please inquire. Bicycles are also available for rent at the Visitor Center. We have high speed wifi through the house and an elevator for luggage.
