Charming and wide ancient house with stunning view
Old stone house in a well preserved village in the pyrenean mountains in France. It is a sunny region with many hiking trails and touristic spots. Old house located in a small village close to a mountain nature reserve. The house is in a rich historical region, with many roman churches and monasteries, fortified towns, castles ('chateaux cathares'). You can make outdoor sport and then enjoy hot springs. You are 1/2 hour far from a ski resort, one hour far from the beach, one hour far from Spain, 2 1/2 hours far from Barcelona. As the house is in an old castle, it has a large and confortable living room as well as a large kitchen and dining room. The kitchen and dining room have just been renewed with a wooden floor and modern equipment. There are also a veranda and a terrace with a fantastic view on Mont Canigou. Two bedrroms as well as the bathroom have recently been renovated. It is a very quiet and charming place. The area is one of the most sunny in France, and you are sure to spend a lot of time outdoor and to get fit. it is also a good place to relax, read or paint ... The village has been very well preserved. It has got stone houses and pavements, and a beautiful Roman church. the whole house, except the underground By phone or mail Jujols is a beautiful old village, located at the base of a nature conservation area. Many paths start from the village and take you in the wilderness, to roman churches, to sheep folds or to mountain refuges. It is also a historical region with many interesting spots to visit. We like the old roman abbeys, such as St Martin du Canigou, or St Michel de Cuxa. The "chateaux cathares" are not very far away and are worth visiting. You can fly or go by train to Perpignan and then rent a car. It is a fifty minuts easy drive from Perpignan to Jujols. The last five km are on a small mountain road, up to the village.
