Recently awarded 4* rating from Etoiles de France, Les Cypres is a lovingly converted 3 bedroom Gite. Converted to 3 Gites, Domaine Saladry is set in beautiful mature grounds of 3 hectares and surrounded by stunning countryside with 360 degree views of vines, sunflowers, the Black Mountains and the Pyrenees. A large shared 14x7m fully equipped Pool & Poolhouse. Ideally situated 600m from the Canal du Midi and 20 minutes from the Unesco World Heritage site of Carcassonne. Les Cypress has a beautiful stone, whitewashed and beamed interior with terracotta flooring and a wood burner. Downstairs is a double bedroom with ensuite toilet and shower. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with seating and a twin single bedded room, there is a further toilet/shower room upstairs. It is furnished with a mix of traditional French and antique furniture, metal and brass bedsteads with Hotel quality bedlinen and quality cotton towels. Although the interior is furnished with original artworks and prints and original french furniture; you'll have access to fast WiFi, and modern fully equipped bathrooms and kitchen. Our large pool at 14x7m and poolhouse facilities are available for all guests to use; the pool has stunning views across open countryside to the Pyrenees. Spend time in our 'Hangar' with Table tennis, Darts, Boules, Giant Jenga, Bar Football plus a seating area to relax in the shade with a book and an aperitif. There is ample seating and tables and chairs in the grounds, use these to have an al-fresco lunch or a BBQ using one of our Gas BBQ's. There is lots of space to either play or relax. We live on site and are available to help or advise where needed; whether it is a restaurant recommendation or an itinerary for a day trip or cycle ride - we are available as much or as little as you require. We are 20mins from Carcassonne and it's Medievel Cite. We are 600m from the Canal du Midi- hire a bike and cycle along this 350 year old marvel - a Unesco World Heritage site. There are numerous Cathar Castles; most set in stunning and wild locations. The wine regions of the Minervois, Corbiere, and Limoux are close by. The Beaches of the Meditteraenean are 45-60mins away and Toulouse; France's 4th largest City is only 1 hour away. There are some very good markets; many set in local Medievel towns. There are many Vineyards; most offer tastings or tours We would recommend a car if you stay at Domaine Saladry. The nearest train station is Bram (5km). We can; with prior arrangement provide transport for groups up to 8 in our VW Transporter Bus Domaine Saladry is converted into 3 Gites and each Gite has its own entrance but all guests share the grounds and pool area. We do ask guests to park in the designated parking areas so make the grounds safe and enjoyable for all who stay. Of course you can drive up to the Gite to load and unload the car.
