The Master house is an elegant historic and homely house with patio and grand garden. On the ground floor there are two ample sitting rooms: the music room with a grand piano, library and reading corner, the sitting room with large sofas and a grand (Website hidden by Airbnb) ample kitchen and a separate dining room and a bathroom. On the top floor: four double interconnected bedrooms and three bathrooms. Frescoed ceilings and combination of period furniture and design pieces give a unique feel. Two bathrooms have bathtub with incorporated shower, the master bathroom wich enjoys a spectacular view onto the lake and mountains, has a bathtub and a separate built -in-shower. Two of the bedrooms look out on the street and two on the pation and garden. As it has kept it's 18th century spaces two two of the bedrooms are connected with the other two and accessed through them. The patio , which may be shared with other guests, has tables where one can enjoy meals and there is a large garden, which can also be shared. The palazzo was built in the 16th century and then underwent significant changes in the second half of the 17th century and then further modifcations in the 18th century. Morphology and composition. The building has a u-shaped layout with the main body facing south and north, and the wings facing east and west. The building encompasses an internal courtyard that opens onto the private garden. Exteriors The building features an imposing main entrance dating probable to mid 17th century: The façade, and more specifically the 18th century window-sills in late Lombard Baroque style Interiors The main entrance opens onto a cobble-stoned entrance hall in the inner courtyard. The entrance leads to a portico area on the left which in turn leads to the main stairway with stone steps, decorated walls and vaulted ceiling. This stairway leads to the two more noble living units. The internal courtyards also leads to the housekeeper’s living unit on the ground floor. From the courtyard you can also access the apartments in the east wing from a common stone staircase The restructuring of the east wing included restoration of a number of wooden ceilings. The flooring throughout the building was re-done terracotta tiles, whereas the bathrooms and kitchens are in ceramic tiles. All doors and windows are in wood with Lombard design, double-glazing and wooden harmonica style. The noble wing of the building has box wooden ceilings that were scientifically restored in the 1990s to maintain the original structures. These living quarters also feature frescos in some of the rooms which can be attributed to the artist Giovan Battista Del Sole. Guests will be able to use the patio and the garden. Both might be used by other guests, and the garden which is very spacious might be also used by the family. The family will not be present but can be contacted at any time and there is a resident caretaker on the premises.
