Or a little further out to the beautiful Yarra Valley. ***PRIVACY*** We have never had a guest mention a lack of privacy, but for your peace of mind: Rest assured that any of your privacy concerns will wash away upon arrival. Yes, the studio is 'architecturally' part of a main house above (set back and further above on the hill), but it is entirely seperate in the sense that it has it's own private entrance that is in front of the main house (no need to pass any main-house windows), and it is cut into the rock UNDER the main house, meaning the only accesible part of the main house that comes close to the studio is the deck on top of the studio (which is typically not used during any Guest stays). Most guests don't even see Andrew after check-in unless they need something, since there is only bush and views, visible from the studio - meaning you also can't peer IN to the studio (one-way looking glass in daylight). You can quite literally, (loudly even) sneak in- and out without a trace. All interior space in the studio is accessible. The studio is situated in the front underside of the main house. Guests will be able to access most of the outdoor garden areas of the property in the immediate surroundings of the studio, as well as the entire west (carpark) and north gardens. Andrew will be around, intermittently working on the house and garden, however always on hand on his mobile to field any request you may have at all! Try him - he can make almost anything happen, and will! Warrandyte is now the most in-demand suburb in the whole of Australia, and it's no wonder why. It's tranquil and natural charm, coupled with it's vibing atmosphere in the main streets invoke thoughts of an elusive holiday destination, yet it's only a 26 minute drive from Box Hill or a 40 min drive to the CBD and Melbourne airport. Warrandyte is unique because it is so close to metropolitan life and it's associated amenities, yet situated in such a picturesque location untouched by development, and next to two gems of Melbourne's fun and entertainment - the Yarra River, and the Yarra Valley wine region. "Pound Bend" - The studio itself sits in one of the most prestigious locations along the entire Yarra River in Melbourne - atop the famous 'Pound Bend'. Pound Bend is the name given to the stretch of the river that turns back on itself so much that it almost meets up with itself again - and it does - since 1870, there has been a tunnel connecting to the river back to itself, meaning you can literally, float downstream for 2 hrs, and return to the exact same spot. The beautiful Yarra River and swimming area is a short 10 minute walk from the apartment. The rural but busting Warrandyte township a 5 minute drive, and the fabulous countryside and countless wineries of the Yarra valley are a short 30 minute drive away. -40 mins from Melbourne CBD and about same from the Airport by car. - From Warrandyte central the 906 Bus will take you to the CBD, and the 579 Bus outside our street will take you to the 906 Bus stop. - Ample and safe parking available on the property.
